Default 0g CARBS ?

I it possible for something to have NO Carbs at all? Whenever I see something with no carbs I usually count it as 1g. What about everyone else? Do somethings not have any carbs? Like my bacon, beef burgers etc thanks

Hi Emma

Be careful. Most pure meat contains zero carbs and counting this as 1g against your allowance means you will eat fewer fresh green vegetables which are a must in this way of eating.

Looking at your stats you don't have a huge amount to lose, so try not to get too wrapped up in your carb counts. The key is a balanced, low carb diet full of good food. Avoid all refined foods, potatoes and other starchy veg and try to concentrate on lean cuts of meat with a portion of green veg for fibre and vitamins. Eggs are a life saver for me, one hard boiled as a snack with a mayonnaise dip is a great way to remove hunger pangs!

Have a look at www.atkinscenter.com and you will find a list of acceptable foods under the induction section. But given your stats, you will still be able to reach your target by following Ongoing Weight Loss.

Good luck.

Hi Emma

What Ecco66 has said is very true. Natural meat products are 0 carbs. Obtain your carbs from veggies and some fruit. Take care with beefburgers and sausages as they often contain fillers which put the carb count up a lot.
