I went from 251 to 190, from a 44 waist to a 34 waist. I gained some of it back as soon as I started maintenance (because I had some slips...) but have held the line for about 15mo now. There are a couple pictures of me with my new body and old shorts.

You CAN do this!!

Mike

Started out the end of September at 160 wearing size a size 15 pants, L/XL top. Currently 125 wearing a size 9 in pants which are loose on me and S top. I'm aiming for 115 because it's right in the middle of the BMI chart for me, I'm barely 5'3.

Started May 4th, 2002. Started at a size 22 and 229 (was as high as 234), and in June 2004 I called goal at 149lbs and a size 8 pants/6 dress. I've mostly maintained it - had a 20lb slip-up and fixed it again. LOL

Hang in there!

What a difference a month makes, now I'm in it for the tonning. People say this diet is hard and I just don't understand it, how can you complain when you are alowed to eat bacon and still loose weight, such a wonderful thing. Hang in there its amazing

I'm 5'3" and started at 191. I met my goal of 135 this past October, just about a year after I started, and have continued to slowly loose a bit more weight. I was wearing size 18 - 20 and now I can get comfortably into size 4 pants, although I still usually wear a larger top.

Yes- how can you complain about a way of eating that lets you eat bacon- and chicken wings!

My highest ever was 235 at 5'6" and size 22 (not sure about the size because I made my own pants back then). That was a long time ago because I was still growing!!

I started Atkins at ~170 and 5'9" wearing a tight 14 pants. It'll be three years in July for me. I now weigh 142 and wear a 6. Toning makes all the difference! I'd still like to get to 135 and size 4 because I have such a small frame.

I was 137 on LF once for about 5 minutes ten years ago and still wore a 10-12. Talk about unhealthy..... I barely exercised and ate almost nothing. Didn't last long.

No complaints from me eating chicken wings with bleu cheese dip with a side of salad....

This WOL rules!

Julie

I was 200 pounds and wore a size 16

Now I am 156 and wear a 10, but at 140 (which I had gotten down to at one point) I was wearing an 8 or a 6 depending on the brand of clothes. I am 5'4" but seem to carry my weight well, people tell me now that I don't look like I weigh more than about 130 pounds!!

It's only been 3 months but I went from 252 to 218 pounds (goal is 190). Pant size from waist 46 to 40.
The true picture will come at my next doctor's visit (prob in May) to see how the blood work looks. My blood sugar level is what prompted this to start with.

I don't feel like it's difficult with all the great recipes available-just takes more time when you can't fall back on all those "convenience foods". I do miss good biscuits (don't like the LC ones so far) and dumplings (rolled dumplings; not the drop kind). The trick will be maintenance. Losing the weight is only part of the battle. I've been there before.

I started at 5'3", 190 pounds, size 20.

I am now 102 pounds, size 6 (or 4 or 8, depending on the manufacturer...)

It took me about 14 months to drop that weight. I bought a LOT of clothes in sizes 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, and 8 that are too big now. Find a good used clothing consignment store, for both buying and selling - it'll be worth your time!
