Default

I travel a lot and they NEVER has scales in hotels and I swear it has made me stick to the plan much better. When I have a scale handy, I always get on it and then if it didn't move or even if it went up a pound or two I would get discouraged and probably cheat or something bad like that.

So...I agree with you.....Tell your hubby or partner (if you have one) to hide the scale and only bring it out once a week or even better, once every two weeks!!!

Jen

Default I've said it before......

And I'll say it again... Scales are EVIL!

I see pictured of myself back when I starved myself down to 150lbs and I look emaciated. I thought I looked fat, because I was *supposed* to weigh 130 lbs. Evil, Evil, BAD scales. I much prefer my tape measure

Ok that's my rant.

Default I can't help myself

I am obsessed with my scale. I step on it at least twice a day! I don't get too discouraged, (I am starting to a bit due to the lack of the numbers moving), I actually find it kind of neat. I have fun by waying myself with clothes on after work, then after I get undressed just to see how much my clothes weighed. (I bought a new digital one too, I am waiting for the novelty to wear off).

I think I am going to start either weighing myself once a week, or do that average a weeks worth of weights. That would probably be better for my morale.

Default Must have scale

I also am obsessed with my scale. This is what happened. I had moved so I needed to buy myself a scale in February. It read the same weight that I had lost from last summer and it was fairly consistant. Then I realized one day, it never really changed, I found that no matter what it stopped on a certain weight. I finally found out when I was at a friends house that it was wrong. The whole time thinking I had not gained weight, I cheated and was horrible, my eating habits just stunk. So, that one went in the trash and I bought a better one, not the cheapy one I had. It seems to work good, because it did read the same as others I stepped on. So, I find if I don't have my scale, well, what I know won't hurt me,,,,when in fact it does. I need to know if my actions have come with consequences. So, now, every morning and night I have to hit my scale to see what it says.
It personally helps me greatly.
Cindy
