Smile glycemic load for combining

hiya -

really interesting to read the combining thoughts. I've been following the glyce(a)mic load (depending on whether you're in the US or UK) to get the hang of combining.

The gi has been a bit complicated for my poor little brain, but the GL is easy. Best place / explanation I've found is 'The GL Diet' - a book written by a British dietitian, who is also a chef (recipes are not at all chef-y, all fast, easy & tasty) and was a real dieter too - so it's not 'ivory tower' advice, it's really practical.

The book is on amazon.com, he's called Nigel Denby, or there is a website - www.dietfreedom.co.uk. Really simple advice, good for the type of person who, like me, doesn't want to think too hard or be worrying about food all the time.

My meals are easy, noone I cook for knows it's 'diet food', eating out is a breeze in ANY type of restaurant. and that's gotta be a good thing!

anyway - keep on keeping on - and whatever suits you do it to the best you can be x Claire
