Default It was just horrible

last night about 3AM i was sleeping. i woke up because i felt something lurking in my bedroom. i squinted my eyes hoping it would go away. then i jumped out of bed and ran into the kitchen to confront what ever there. what was it? The midnight munchies-scream
and water wasn't gonna cut it.

is having a already cooked chicken breast, or veggie burger with salsa ok. open to suggestions.

I keep a tub a cooked chicken breast cutlets in my fridge for just those kinds of times!! Also, a hard boiled egg does cut hunger.

I also use hummus on celery as a filling snack...peanut butter on celery is good too if you can control the amount of PB that you use.

You did very well!!

Be proud of youself, you cheated with allowable foods!!!
well, not really cheated, we just have the yrs of how we "should" eat in our heads and we need to learn new ways. Its OK to eat when you are hungry, just the right foods as you did.
Well done

HUGS

You done good!

The most important thing to learn is what to have on hand when those midnight munchies hit.

Water is always a first step for me. Tuna or egg salad or some imported cheeses are my first go to's. Something more wicked feeling like cream cheese and strawberries in a LC wrap, with some splenda or stevia to make it sweet is next.

In a full blown binge attack, water, anything from list above or other LC items that feel wicked, and then a walk (even at 3am) fit the bill.

I know I am a big guy, living in a small town in a largely rural area, so I am safe enough. Ladies, wake your hubby and drag his but with you or maybe find another thing or two to keep your mind off food. Be creative and don't give in and do a full blown binge!

You are on the right track!
