Compare those carb counts to the 2.5g total carbs and 0g fiber in the 1/4 cup sour cream the original recipe calls for.
And all of the creamed soups I've checked have wheat flour in them--a problem for a lot of people.

Dear Abby135,

I just made this dish tonight for my husband and myself and we absolutely LOVED it!!!! It was SO flavorful and filling. I think I will make a double batch of this casserole for next weeks church pot luck dinner. Thanks so much for this recipe! I added it to my recipe folder. I also liked the fact that all of the ingredients are things I always have in my kitchen so I can make this dish often on a tight budget. Happy LCing to you!

Not sure if I made it the same as everyone else because I found it quite watery. If I make it again I would add xanthan gum or some sort of thickener

OMG now this is comfort food. It's so flavourful. One of my favorite recipes and a complete meal in one.
