Guess what, ( Nat, you should be happy with me ) I started a journal today and maybe this will help. I'll stop being stubborn.
I' still wondering if the fat in foods like dressings, miracle whip, processed meats, etc to be avoided because they are all processed? Is Miracle Whip an absolute no no? I am not fond of mayo.
So since bacon is not a processed food and if it were sodium free, would this be a good fat? How about cheese and cream?
Can you look at a label and tell is it is considered good or not so good fat, going by the saturated part?
I really did read the chapter referring to the fats but I must say I got lost in the terms.
I will begin posting in my journal, now, right? Is this where I ask these questions?
Thank you (again) for your help.

Like you, I'm not fond of the taste of real mayo either, so I use Miracle Whip regular (not light). It does have a tad of sugar in it. If you are not a purist to this WOL and can live with it, then I don't see how it will hurt. I've lost 19.5 pounds and use Miracle Whip almost every day. Your milage may vary.

It depends on what you want to get out of this new way of eating. I've chosen to be informed about what goes in my mouth, but I'm not going to micromanage the itsy bitsy things.
