Default Happy CADDIE girl

I tried posting these words here under the CAD/CALP earlier to hear others in recovery and together hopefully inspire a newcomer or slipper.

I am an old OA (overeaters anonymous and FAA (food a. a.). A great program, but I need other CADDIES to celebrate my New lifespan abstinens (identification).

Hey! In short.

I am a happy CADDIE girl today. I used to be sad, isolated and lethargic.
I have tried most diets and done insanely amount of research on the topic.

I started with the CAD (I call it the happy diet) in 1999 and lost 17 kilos. Kilos I had gained durring pregnancy and from eating "3-5 times a day".

People would get very irritated over my joy and obvious success. A "helping friend" told me I was wrong and had to apply Atkins thought to my diet to be truly safe and "clean" from sugars.

Since I still was struggling with untreated codependency I fell of the wagon although having had the best year ever and gained it all back.

Dealing with my codependency and facing my well kept guilt and shame in a ACA (adult children of Alcoholics or otherwise dysfunctional homes) I found myself and started to heal. Finally I could say NO!!

CAD is truly for those that need it not for all, but we who do find "home" in the happy diet are blessed. There is something about love, bounders, security, peace eating after these simple principles. Our life span program produces a great chemistry in our bodys, mind and soul.
(The Carbohydrate Addict's Lifespan Program)

Oh happy brain! Thanks to Dr. Rachael Heller for sharing her experience and life story and giving some of us peace. I remember the first time I saw the show on Oprah on this new way of living. Happy to have found back.

I just lift my hat for those that are happy in other programs and stick to my path. I donīt need to change them and they have no right to attempt to change me. We can eat today at the same table.

Gratefully (who would have thought)
/Happy Girl

Enjoy your day! Looking forward to finishing my second coating paint in my kitchen. Is that a treat or what?! A bran new feel to my buddy-kitchen (before my most hated room).

I am so happy to be back on the CAD! I feel faith and thankfulness every day!

Thanks for being a CAD with maintainance, very glad to "meet you".

It is like a good OA or FAA (12 step programs) meeting were I donīt get thrown out for eating SUGAR. God bless the Hellers! God bless this forum!

If you click on "User CP" on the top left of the page, then select "Edit Options" from the left hand menu bar, scroll down a bit and you will see:

"Default Thread Subscription Mode
When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads, with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread."

There's a drop-down menu beside that, you can select to get replies daily, or instantly, all sorts.

Or, if you want to get LOTS of e-mail, use "Forum Tools" in the top RIGHT of the CAD/CALP forum page and then select "Subscribe to this forum" - that should ping your e-mail every time a new post is made. be warned, on most forums this becomes a bit overwhelming, very fast!!

HTH!

That is a good suggestion Eno!

By the way,

The CAD is so good for me being brought up with the French cuisine* (French blood). *Not eat to often, have a great dinner or lunch with dessert, eat plenty of cheese .... eat and feel satisfied.

Here it is raining, I have been organising some piles and papers.

Today will be a lunch RM - sallad green and tomato, perhaps a tuna burger (home made) and perhaps some leftover goodies from Christmas, probably a half saffron bread)

Bless you all!
Look forward what this year will bring!
