Default New to Sugar Busters

I'm on my 3rd day of SB and it seems so easy I'm wondering if I didn't grasp the concept?
From what I understand you are ok to eat dairy and meats.
You can eat bread as long as it's one listed as legal. I have the Trader Joes stone grain rye bread. And you eat brown rice.
Stay away from watermelon and pineapple.
I can eat regular dressing as long as it doesn't list sugar as an ingredient.

I find the hardest thing is remembering not to pick at my families food. There are lots of "normal" food to eat. The first day as a matter of fact, my husband, the diet killer, took us to Dairy Queen. I had a Dilly bar with no added sugar. It was great.
I really think this is a great way to eat.
I do have a slight headache and wonder if it's like being a sugar junkie without a fix?
Did anyone else have one?

Default Hi there...

I am comming off of a month of Atkins. It was too restrictive for me. I know lots of people swear by it but if it doesn't work for me, well...it won't work!

I'm looking into sb because I felt sooo much better staying away from it. I'm going to buy the sb book tonight.

I'll let you know how it goes!

Daisy

I think no carbs is way to impossible for me to ever do. I refuse to start a plan I know won't work.
It's difficult enough eating different from my family. Switching to brown breads is not a hardship. No bread is.
Good luck!
Come back when you start and maybe we can get this forum moving!

Default Atkins to Sugar Busters

I am very frustrated. Have been trying to stay with Atkins for about 2 months. It seems very restrictive, and I have probably never gone over 30 grams, aim for 20. My wt. loss came the first week and then I go up and down for about 2 lbs. I can't get to anything less restrictive. I do take b.p. meds and that is supposed to create some problems. I have had other good results. I thought the s.b. was too liberal and I would probably gain wt. what do you all think? I need help. Patsy
