Smile Hello

blue- I'm giving CAD through the summer as long as I do not gain too much..lol I've gained this week!!! Not good! I don't know if I can totally give up the caffeine!! I mean the diet Dew I can,but my morning black coffee ughh. My problem is that during my RM I want to eat as much as possible in the hour because I'm dying of hunger the rest of the night! I really hate to go back to Atkins and go through headaches, acid reflux, and general icky feelings before. I need to find something and stick with it for life. This yo-yo-ing between Atkins and CAD is unhealthy and could cause problems for my metabolism. Realizing this I believe that I need to try my best to make this work for me! I'm just scared because the scales said 146 this morning!! Up 5lbs!! Not been exercising like I should either! Changing is scary, but my mood and mental state is so much better on CAD. Maybe I should work on making my RM's later in the day. I've been having them at 12:30 p.m. lately and so then at night I'm dying of hunger! Okay no more Diet Dew! But that morning coffee.. whahhh don't know about that one!

I agree you may want to change your RM's to later in the day. I've tried having mine for lunch, but it tends to mess me up and make me crave things and it's hard to stick with CM at night. There are times when something special is going on and I'll switch, but for the most part, I just leave my RM's at dinner and it works best for me.

Hope you don't mind me joining in.

I also am on CAD, I'm at the end of my 3rd week, the first two weeks 9 lbs GONE !! yahooo. Okay I messed up this past weekend and didn't weigh myself but thats not going to stop me. I am going to weigh myself this Monday.

I have my RM at dinner, usually around 6 pm. What I did in the beginning was come home and stuff anything and everything in my face just because I was ravenous... watch those fingers.

Anyway I said to myself...oy, this is not good, I'm not eating a balanced normal meal. So I have a big bowl of cut up fruit in my frig, as soon as I hit that door I take that bowl out and start chomping on the fruit. I find it helps curb the beast. And I'm eating less. If I don't have this fruit I'm like a snarling animal I will just shovel anything in until its coming out of my ears.

I also have a hand full of Pnut M&M's for desert (my fav ) - but its all w/in my hour. I'm really not waking up at 2 am starvin anymore.

I am however very hungry during the day but the less I eat the better off I am believe it or not. I'll munch on turkey bacon or turkey pepperoni, salad w/tuna..etc. for lunch & breakfast but tiny amounts sigh *

Good luck !!
Hugs.

It's probably the AS. A lot of CADers react to AS as if it were real sugar. It that's the case for you, you need to limit diet soda's to RM. A lot of CADers had to do that in order to get the gravings under control and lose weight. They didn't want to. They fought against it. But finally the diet sodas had to be limited to RM.

Give that a try for a while and see if it makes a difference. You should not be craving after RM.
