I am at goal but not comfortable being there, I am more comfortable being under goal. Also it could be that I am just bloated from a mexican meal we had, I didn't eat any chips or tortillias, but I think the thing was salt city.

Today I am down to basics, back into induction for three days, and drinking water (I am allowing myself 2 monster energy drinks the 0 carb ones... love those)

Thanks for all the support!

I also feel more comfortable being under goal, John. I like the safety of that bit of cushion.

My weight occasionally dips to at goal or a pound below, but for most of the past 4 months it has hovered 1-3 pounds above goal. I tell myself that my goal is somewhat arbitrary and if I set goal at 169 lbs years ago (instead of 166), then I would be consistently at goal. And, I tell myself that the fact that my weight hovers so close to goal, and I don't seem able for now to lose more (no matter what I do) means that my goal is a reasonable number. Still, from a psychological stand-point, I wish that my weight would go a few pounds below goal and stay there.

Thank you everybody for the heartfelt get well wishes. Ya'll made me all warma nd fuzzy inside. I'm feeling MUCH better but not as far along as the doc would like so she kept me out of owrk this week. I go back on Friday for re-eval but I am feeling sooooo much better. Finished the Prednisone, am going on 48 hours without pain killers or Ibuprofen and still on antibiotics.

Carolyn--I can so relate to this. I've consistently been 1-3 pounds above the 145 goal which tells me it IS a reasonable number I can maintain without killing myself, but like you, wish I could get back down to 140 but somehow in the scheme of things I really don't want to nor have the inclination to cut my calories to lose it. I just did Jenny Rhuls calculator (saw it in someones sig) and I found it very interesting. 1700 calories to maintain which I must be doing since I'm always right around the same number and ~1250 calories to lose--both using about 50 carbs as the limit. I found that the protein portion of the nutrients is much lower than I usually eat. I may try cutting my protein a bit but REALLY I'm just not that motivated (even before I got sick)

Since I was feeling better today, I too, like Demi, bit the bullet expecting to see at least 150-151--very surprised that even after the eating patterns last week and much of this week only 1 pound gain--and that could be because I haven't had a good poop in dayyyys because of the pain killers

Like Demi and Judy--going to slowly clean up my act for the remainder of the week and by the weekend, eating should be back to normal--maybe I'll seriously think about putting some of Jenny Rhuls guidelines into play.

To the newcomers...welcome.

Again, thank you guys for always being there!

I'm going to go catch up pn some journals now that it doesn't feel like my head is going to explode.

Good to have you better, Lisa. And I am glad your body is cooperating with you as far as your weight. I picked 150 for me cause I wanted to eat that many calories to maintain and I feel great! I am learning how to be happy here. I do like to be at 148 ish (the high side is okay) and then I can vary up to 150 and not panic. Heavens, we never stop learning about this process do we. LOL
