Default Amino Acids?

I know that Julia Ross, in the Diet Cure recommends amino acids for weight loss. I was wondering if anyone had experience in supplementing your LC diet with aminos, and if it helped? I was considering this product:

I don't want to take a protein powder, as it is hard to find a good one that is gluten-free, and I don't want to waste my carbs on a shake.

Amino acids are mainly obtained from proteins . Amine portion of amino acids come from Nitrogen and Protein is only macro-nutrient which contains a lot of nitrogen . Amino acids are of various types and yes they do assist is muscle gaining and at the same time the help to reduce weight .
