Thumbs up SGB94's gym log

Getting monthly measurements today.

Basic workout schedule:

MW 1/2 hour weight training with trainer, 1/2 cardio
TTH 45 min cardio, abs, streching, weight machines
F or S 30 min cardio, abs, some weight machines

Usually Tuesday is my "anit procrastination" day so I don't always work out on Tuesdays. But I"m at the gym 3-4 times a week.

Talking measurements

Okay, I got my measurements for the month of May. But I thought I would list my progress so far. Remember, I'm just starting Atkins.

I've lost most in my hips and thighs and arm. I've much more muscle now so I'm not too worried about the weight thing. I am on thyroid meds and know I have a low metabolism. I'm hoping Atkins will help this.

Post Monday's workout

7 min warmup on stairmaster

30 mins with trainer
inner and outer thigh with and without weights.

24 mins stationary bike.

Got on the scale without my shoes for the first time and there is a 5 lb difference from when I have them on (when I last checked). Perhaps I lost a little or maybe because my TOM is done. I get my body comp today. That will be fun to see if all this working out is making a difference in body fat. Ihaven't had it done in a month. But since I am not losing poundage but am losing inches I'm hoping the numbers will reflect that.

Selina

Not working out today. Have to prepare the house for guests.

Unhappy body comp

Went for my body comp yesterday. I was told it might be messed up since I finished my period not long ago. Seems my body fat went up which seems really weird since I have lost a number of inches since my last body comp. I know that my eating hasn't been great this past month but I was really hoping to see more change in body fat.

Well, now that I got a green light to start Atkins (though I've been doing it a little already) I guess I'll hit the stores and get the good stuff. Including soy milk for my protein shakes.

I was disappointed though. Even my trainer says that she sees me working out so hard and trying so much that she was suprised that I didn't lose more this month.

Oh well, back to the gym today.

Wink long weekend workout

Well, the long holiday weekend with a guest didn't turn out so bad food wise.

We did A LOT of walking and stair climbing! Seattle is a hilly place. So even though I didn't make it to the gym I did get some exercise.

Back to the gym yesterday for my training session.

Worked on hams and abs. My butt is killing me. Lunges are hell on me although I am able to do more of them and keep my balance better.

So:

1/2 hour lunges, leg lifts and abs
35 minutes cardio

Heading back today. Didn't weigh myself though. Holding off on that for a little while.
