Default Time to say Hello

This doesnt appear to be a very active section of the site, so I thought I'd better get active
I started CAD on sunday 5 June, after coming off weightwatchers. I suddenly realised I couldnt weigh, track or point for the rest of my life and I need a diet for life.....which is also what I called my journal. I started a journal here a couple of days ago.
I always do better on a low carb diet than any other, me & carbs dont get along, love to eat them and my body loves keeping every single fat cell active and increasing.
I found the CAD book and loved it as soon as I read it..this is me!
I'm on day 4 today and loving it.
Struggling with breakfast as I dont do breakfast normally but the rest is great, my RM have decreased in size and slowly getting healthier, not on purpose, just with what I fancy eating.
I've sent for the CALP book from amazon, waiting to see whats different on the plan.
I've been posting my daily meals and weight into my journal.
Looking forward to meeting other CAD followers because I'm sick of seeing Atkins everywhere (been there done that)

Me: I'm 48 y/o woman living in Wales, 3 grown kids & 2 grandkids who live in Canada. Divorced, unemployed & have bipolar disorder which means meds that can hinder my weight loss.
now thats me, what about you

Hi and welcome!!

I came back to CALP for the same reasons you started. It seems like a realistic plan for life, no counting, no weird foods that I have to learn to love! I'm fairly new too (just 2 months).

I'm losing slowly on this plan (about a pound a week), but I will take a slower loss on a plan I can actually stick to!

Good luck to you and check out the HourPower thread!

Hi, and thanks for the welcome and posting in my journal

I'm happy for a slow weight loss too, as its something I feel I can to do forever, so no rush to a goal weight. I really love that once a day I can eat absolutely anything, no being deprived! its so easy to follow day by day.

I'll go check out Hourpower thread, thanks!
