Default Somersizers where are you?

What happened to the SS'ers connection here? I am going through withdrawl since the site is "closed for maintainence" . Is there no longer a place for SSers here? What about the SS.com site-does anyone know what is going on?

I no longer somersize, but was just lurking on many boards today to try to settle on some reasonable, healthy plan( am going to buy a the South Beach Book) and saw on the ivillage site by a cl that she said on HSN that hackers attacked her web site and that it should be up soon. I am curious as I have an e-mail account there and that has also had a note on it when I try to open it that it will be up in awhile--it has said that for about a month.

I wonder if the "New" low-carb craze has prompted Suzanne to make any changes? Her site has been down a long time. Wonder if she is changing her format? There sure was a lot of squabbling going on the last time it shut down--were there problems just before it went down this time?

I got a reply after asking what was up and they said it was a technical problem and it would be down for a couple of weeks. I have just started sommersizing and I was checking the boards there every day. I don't know if it will come close to this board though. I really enjoy it here.

Good luck TheresaV. It has worked very well for me. Do you have any of her books? Which ones?

Thanks for the update Hilly. I appreciate any info I can get.

Hi Teresav,

I just responded to you but somehow it ended up on another thread. Dont ask me how I did that. Anyhow I was noticing that our start weights and goal weights are almost identical. I started sommersizing a week ago. looks as though we are both embarking on a similar path.

HI Fungirl: You should start a journal here and then we can keep track of each other. Have you been on any other low carb plan before? Do you have a ss book? I find that this board is very helpful too. You can reply in my journal if you'd like. Keep warm. I know it's been cold there. It has been here too but not as bad as where you are.

Hi everyone:
I too was using the SS website for inspiration and motivation.. I have all Suzannes books and alot of her products. What is going on with the website??
I read here there was some squabbling going on....whats that about?

She said on her last visit to HSN that it should be up soon. Sure seems to be going slow!!! Maybe she isn't going to have a forum anymore....just a shopping website...how disappointing!!

Mary

I emailed the SS website and I did get a response. They said it'll be down for some weeks while they try to fix it. It is a disappointment as I am new to Somersizing and have lots of questions. But luckily I have found this site and it has helped some.
