Default No-bake main dishes - meat and vegetarian

This is a question for both myself and my sister (who is enjoying a freebie day off, GRRRRR!!!). Recently the bake mode in our oven went out but we still have the broil and gas working. Until we get it fixed, does anyone have any suggestions for main dishes (both meat and non-meat, like with tofu) that we can do for lunches to work? It would have to either be broiling or on the gas.

Any tips from our cooking guru (that's you, Karen or anyone else?

Thanks!
Tam

From Karen's Recipes...

The Korean Style Tofu is top of the stove.
Feta and Olive Meatballs are broiled.
Meatza! can be completely cooked by broiling.

Another tofu thought: I had tofu that was stuffed with cheese in Japan and it was great! It was made into tempura, but it could be dipped into beaten egg and fried.

What about making burgers stuffed with cheese? Broiling chicken breasts and melting cheese on top? A cold stir-fry?

One thing that people seem to neglect is soup! It can be a meal in a bowl, and most soups can be served cold - especially in the summer - as well as hot.

HTH,

Karen

Thanks Karen! I'll try these. I'll pass it on to my sister too (I think she already found the Korean Style Tofu...)
