Hi.
I think your family and friends have a point; feeling better about yourself will not happen via food and weight loss. You're already at the bottom of a healthy weight range for your height, and 88 lbs is underweight. That definitely drives people to cheat. I'd suggest eating maintenance level carbs, and doing some 'spiritually gentle' exercise to help you feel better about your body. I highly recommend yoga. I was skeptical, but I'm hooked on it now.
