Default Abilify anyone?

Is anyone else on Abilify or similar medication and has had sucess with low-carb dieting? I gained from 105 to 160lbs while on Zyprexa (granted 105 was too low). I lost to 120lbs by quitting the medication and walking 12 miles a day. Unfortunately my doctor insists that I take some form of medication to keep me from going manic and I've eaten my way back up to 150lbs.

Anyhoo, anyone have sucess losing weight while on Abilify? I would love to hear about it.

Thanks
Dani

It's harder, but possible. I'm down another couple of pounds but when I first went on, I ballooned up ten pounds.

But yeah, if you're induction strict, it's possible to lose on Abilify.

Hi there, I am taking Seroquel and Lexapro and I gained a ton of weight. I couldn't lose it by lowering my calories so now I'm back on low carb. I thought I would post because I'm in a similar situation.

I feel your pain. Hopefully this works for us. I don't know what else to do but not eat ever and of course that isn't going to work.

That's good to know. Hopefully it works out. I'm thinking of just staying on induction till I lose all the weight I want.
