Default Hi, I'm Judy

Hi. I have been on the Atkins forum and never noticed this one until someone mentioned it there. I like the idea of a group of others my age. I am 54. My goal is to have be able to put down an "honest " weight of 140(+/-) on my driver's license in July. I have lost weight before but Not in the last 17 years - since my twins were born. It is much slower at this age. I think I am wise enough this time to recognize that it is a wol not a diet.

Hi, Judy.
I just replied to you another thread.

I'm 52, and would love to get back to the weight I was just 10 years ago.
It's going to take some doing!

I see you upped your food to stimulate weight loss? Can you tell me about it, please?

Hi, Med234, I found I was only eating about 1200 or less calories - thanks to fitday. I have upped that amount and started losing again. I am now eating around 1500. I was amazed that my calories were so low. I started keeping track because I thought they would be too high. It is not easy to add 300 cal and not add carbs.

Hi, Judi.
Your calories are still a little low, perhaps? They recommend 10-12 times body weight.

If you have visited my journal you will see that I have gone back to fitday today, after my zero weigh-in yesterday. I reckon I need more fat, and fitday will help me check on that.
It's a great tool, but very time-consuming while you are seting up your custom foods.

Welcome Judy. I'm realitively new here too. Don't post a lot; more lurking.

Great info and encouragement here, though.

Welcome, Ophallon!
Congrats on your 3lb loss!
I am trying very hard not to weigh myself again until my regular Monday weigh-in, because I would just be too upset for words, if I still haven't lost!

Yes, we will all be successful in this - just for some of us it is slower than for others!

Hi Judy, you still there? You haven't come to see me in my journal yet?

Hi, Judy.
In the bottom line of each post, there is a row which says things like 'profile', 'buddy' and 'journal'?
If you click on 'journal', under my post, it should take you there.
See you soon!
