Default Welcome

Hello all. This is new to me, and I'm embarrassed that I've come to this point. I've struggled with weight all of my life. I'm definitely not as enormous as I could be though - trying to maintain optimism! I guess I'm not that "big" to some people (5'7", 150 lbs.), but I know that I want to get my eating in control, as well as my weight, so I can just move on with life, and forget about losing weight constantly.

I have always been a member at a gym, and workout as much as possible. I've been active all of my life, and majored in Exercise Science and Physiology for three years, but I have the darndest time applying what I know to my own life.

I'm hoping to find some great advice on this forum, and look forward to hearing from you for support. My weakness is having faith that low carb diets work. I start one, and fall off so easily. Candy is my weakness - as are desserts, and chocolate....okay, anything sweet catches my attention. I've looked through the success pictures, and read a couple stories, but I guess I'm just thinking that the weight is just going to peel off of me....and my fabulous body that I once had (size 4, 126 lbs.) is going to come back. By the way, I lost that weight by going through a very difficult break-up....everyone needs a good break-up to shed a few pounds from time to time!

Well, I hope to hear from you all, and look forward to the advice that will come flooding my way. I'm excited to be a member of your forum!
