"The weekly CN requires 6-8 hours of carb consumption with at least 3 spikes needed. That gets the hormones cycling. One meal is not enough. Low fat meals are required early as there is still the chance of fat storage when loading on carbs, but fat can be added later in the night. That is the gist of it.".......thanks for the cliff notes!! i copied them to my journal too

Chrissie yea it is nice to be reminded that we're not alone in this fight against fat! It seems so unnatural to me that you could stay at exactly the same weight for such long stretches of time..I really hope that stubborn scale budges soon my patient friend

Barb wow it sounds like you're having a busy week like me! I hope your day passes quickly so you can get to your concert fun time and especially that your month flies by so you can get to beautiful Myrtle Beach. Dakoda has a couple prospects and his girlfriend is going to go back to Target where she worked before leaving. They wanted Dakoda back at his old job too but he doesn't want to work full time. He is going to concentrate on college right now and get his degree finally finished. He is so computer smart but obviously having the degree to go with the knowledge and skills is when you make the $$$$

Paulette i'm so sorry your "new low" was so short lived. I hope you will see an even lower number once you recover from this last CN. Yea I saw that I needed more than just an off plan meal to do the CN right so I decided to maybe try to make a proper plan for one night in the next week or 2.

Cricket I hope you got your errands done and are getting some relief from that cough and hopefully some restorative sleep as well. I'm so glad to see i'm not the only one that gets diarrhea when I drink lots of bouillon.

Down .4 today. Happy me.

Yesterday was a very low cal day for me as I had no appetite whatsoever. I did not have the burst of energy like I did previous post-CNs. I wonder why?

CHRISSIE - Thank you very much. I am just a dedicated person. I used to think of cheating all the time, and even dream of it. Now that I am on the CNS, I have no reason to think of cheating or going off plan as I am now required to eat those carbs once a week. It more than takes care of that problem. I find it difficult to even do it. But it really frees my mind!

BARB - Have fun at the concert! I hope your work gets done early so you can have time to unwind.

I am actually going to visit my MOM for the weekend! I will be leaving in a couple hours. I luckily and suprisingly got a check in the mail yesterday so I have gas and now we can get more chicken! Mom took a beef roast out to thaw, so I will be having that for dinner. Lunch will be some leftover baked cod with my Creamy Avocado Dressing. I love that stuff so much. I could eat a bowl of it with a spoon!

I hope I don't have to work too long today as I would like to visit with MOM and not sit on the computer while there. But I will work around it. It has been a couple months since I was able to visit her.

You all have a great day and I will try to get back to comment further.

HI and Good morning.... KATHY.... I am happy you have seen that CN is something to be planned and of course POLIIE said it better. You plan is still over the top to do it the same way but you can work out something. The CN is only 30NC and most are around 15nc. IT is acknowledged on this that fiber, although deducted is going to become CARBS in the digestive tract.Just slower absorbtion.It matters. I guess I got a bit over the top but that is how I feel. I was the same with the ATKINS and how others mangled that as well. SO, To anyone I say, as PAULETTE did, that this plan takes awa that urge to cheat. You do not have to. THE weekly CN is not falling off the wagon so no wagon to clinb back on.It isn't off plan. It IS the PLAN

CHRISSIE>>> so, when is the carb nite??? how about posting the stuff othe Nucleus chat thread?? Have you plans in mind?? I know that I went crazy figuring out what to eat and when and still changed it a million times! It will work.

I have to go and reweigh..I was down 2.4 this morning and I am still edemitous. I want my hot choc drink and HC!!!

FIGURES I weighed early at 163.0 and my reweigh was HIGHER by 0.4. I used the higher number. I guess cleaning and mopping and vacuuming added water??? LOL.. I am fine with the 2.0 drop. More will come and i HOPE it comes before I have CN on tuesday. It would be tempting to just wait for a loss but I think I will go ahead and have the CN as is generally recommended STRONGLY! I will have faith in the process!
I suspended my PF until the fall. It was nice of them to drop the payments for me and said to just come back whenever I feel I can do it again..in the fall or whenever.. and pay no additional sign ups again! I LOVE THEM THERE.

NEW LOW TODAY!

Just a quick drive-by-weigh-in today as its SOOOO nice out and I need to get stuff done!

New Bunny came with a name and a pedigree-- her name is SS Country Kisses, will call her Kisses. She is cute, and as a surprise bonus she is preggers! Seller offered her and didnt remember she had bred her until after we completed the sale, so in about 18 days if all goes well (you never know with rabbits) there will be some little Kisses.....

WE had a TB mare that we did not know had been bred... her foal was named HIDDEN CARGO! all a big early morning surprise!

You are doing well and hope to see y ou get to the 160's soon!!! FInally got back to the 170's was great. Love the mile markers.

Rains called last night.. she has her hands full and is still on plan. Her weight is now 209.8 and I would appreicate the next person to update toplease include her numbers on her line.
She will be home maybe April 1st. Stopping in Spokane on 30th I think she said. It was late last night and i was headed to bed so some of the long converstaion was lost!
She is looking forward to being back and getting back to where she was.

TONIGHT I will post the new thread for SUNDAY as usual.. we post the new weight there on SUNDAY as well as here. THEN for Monday all is in place....

Lightbulb well the scale did indeed move......

....in the wrong direction!!
nah....really, i'm okay with it....more than 1400 cal and a 3 oz bag of pork rinds later......one way or another that darn scale was gonna move!
5/22/73 and i'm still in ketosis so i'm still clean but filled with fluid and sodium (and non-evacuation day #2 to boot! )

CHRISSIE.. thought you did check the CN out.. read the book etc..start date and all.. it is more like 20 carbs to us. THE 30 is a lot for us but this does allow for the good nuts to have.Without the fiber element in it , they are great. We use the term USEABLE rather than net as more appropriate to the actual carb deal..makes sense.

Wow what a night....Right before I left for work I found out Chris is going to have to go to Miami to work for a month and he's leaving Wednesday morning! He has been trying to find work since he got home in October but nothing has really panned out. I have been covering all the bills (luckily his bills are only $450 a month) and he wants to go out and make money to help catch us up and pay up through July when he will go out again. He really tried to find a job this winter but he had promised he would go out for the month of July so places that might have hired him hesitated to do so knowing he was going to need the month of July off...He is going to fulfill this commitment for July and this time let her know that he is going to be looking for a job and will probably not return next year...He has been working for her since 1998 so this will be a big change for both of them but he's ready to quit travelling so....
Anyway, needless to say I was very emotional over this turn of events. I brought my premade foods only to walk into a post office party nightmare at work. Normally I would've just put everything away...do you see where this is going.....I won't get into details but let's just say I left a high calorie/high carb/ shoot high everything crime scene behind in my wake...Fat Kathy / crying Kathy/ Depressed Kathy all had a crazy night...i'm afraid of the scale when I wake up today but hey you do the crime you do the time! Sorry to vent guys...ok to catch up/enough about me...

Chrissie so sorry about the scale...I guess we should've been more specific when we sent you scale moving wishes oops...when are you planning to start the CNS?

Cricket congratulations on you loss...i'm thinking I will have found what you lost and more...Our PF is cool about "freezing" Chris' membership when he's gone...lucky for me I get free PF as well as 10 other gyms free thanks to the hospital I work at...healthy employees are the best employees...did I tell you they also pay for WW for us and have at work WW meetings at 3 of our facilities...I did great on WW thanks to them and I feel as long as most obese people are doing "something/anything" if it works for them they have my support and what a great place to work to pay that like $300 a month...I hope you enjoyed your time in the sun yesterday...maybe I need some Vit D isn't that good for depression???

Paulette I hope you got your work done lickity split and had a wonderful visit with your mom.

I get off in half hour...i'm going to go home and sleep like a rock and forget this night ever happened...until I step on the scale of course that should be a pretty rude and well deserved awakening!
