By the way - when I weighed in at the doctor's - fully clothed and full of lunch and a whole morning's worth of coffee and water, The scale read 207.2 ...... I am almost certain my morning reading was UNDER the 206 I recorded. I must have had at least 2 lbs of food & water in me, much less the weight of the clothes by the time I weighed at the doc's! But I shall never know...

THIS GROUP follows ULTRA LOW CARB PLANS...of different types that stem from the teachings of DR ATKINS. We have TOTAL carbs and net carbs, and the Carb Nite has its roots in ATKINS as does every low carb plan. Hi Cricket I think that maybe Paulette or someone i'm not sure suggested the flexible ketogenic calculator website a few months ago (http://www.flexibleketogenic.com/) and that's what I use. I strive to keep my ratio at 1.5 or above....the Village Inn feast had 76 fat/1 carb/ 31 protein/850 cal.....it was a 3.1 ratio according to that site. I'm not sure how I could've added more fat than that....I was actually trying to offset the veggies eaten with the steak at Black Angus...oh and I enter total carbs into the calculator not net....

yea when I go on on my phone it does wonky stuff like that to me too so I know how you feel....

Up 2.6 after my 3rd CN. Back to norm now and it truly is a Full Fats Friday for me. I am not going to have my leftover fajita from yesterday as the green peppers and onions are too high in carbs for me. I will most likely pick out and eat only the chicken chunks tomorrow and have it on a salad or something.

Today I am going to have Bacon & eggs for lunch! I have not had that in a very long time! I took out a chicken leg quarter to bake for dinner.

KATHY - I don't remember who suggested that site? BARB perhaps? Was it me? I can't remember, but I DO have it bookmarked, so whoever found it - thank you! It is great for making sure your foods are ketogenic.

Looks like the rest of us are all tied up and busy. RAINS, I hope all is well with you. I fear the worst.

I did not get a good rest last night as Ed was up all night with a throat infection and kept waking me. I have been awake now since about 12:30am. He is sleeping like a baby now, and I am wide awake. I had my coffee and I'm just finishing up my postings and emails and stuff. I DO plan to go back to bed after this and hopefully fall back asleep for a couple hours.

I never did change the battery on the scale yet. Letting it ride for now, but I really need to do that. I am so uncertain of its accuracy now.

CHRISSIE... maybe I can help with your questions...ketosis has bee in 3 days which is where it should be. That is the time it takes for the glycogen stores to be depleted. For this plan..a ketogenic plan.. as if Atkins was not?? LOL it is wasting the fat stores with the 4 days of hormones before they too become depleted. It is slow going for me with the crazy gain I had last week, but I DID lose it all plus 0.6 ..began at 163.2 and today is the day before my CN date that should be so maybe a pound will be off in the week. That is great. The sizes are what are stressed. We should keep in mind that the plan was deveolped by and largely for gym rats so their results will be different. What I CAN say is that there are people that have lost 160 LB in 17 mos etc that are real not in books. So it is a good plan and has great potentioal.. AND PaULETTE has broken her stall!

Paulette I think that is a pretty respectable gain after your CN nite. No doubt you'll drop that and more for a new low in the next few day.

Cricket you are losing steadily as well and more importantly fitting in your clothes better. The 1.5 is the ratio of fats to protein to carbs....1-1.5 is mildly ketogenic//1.5-2 is mostly ketogenic/// 2-over is very ketogenic...If I stay 1-5-2 my sticks are pretty dark purple...As long as i'm burning fat I don't care about the sticks...like we all say you can't be a little pregnant and either you're burning fat for fuel or you're not....I also still use my blood monitor as well...

Shout out to all....gotta go pay bills before heading to work tonight...I again woke up early so i'll try to nap too before work....

THIS GROUP follows ULTRA LOW CARB PLANS...of different types that stem from the teachings of DR ATKINS. Stable today--

Had a nice trip with my sister yesterday-- it was a quick out and back to Chicago (via South Bend Indiana on the way down lol) but we had lots of good conversation and minimal stress even with traffic. Today I got up early, did a delivery to Lansing, got home and got breakfast then drove my usual "long loop" through Waterford/Pontiac/Clinton TWP Detroit. Back home, ate lunch, now I am a little tired! Certainly tired of being in a moving vehicle!

I am more familiar with the one at http://keto-calculator.ankerl.com/ and in fact your link recommends that link-- seems like the info generated between the two sites works together pretty well.

Cricket sorry to hear that the CN facebook page is so full of domineering know it alls-- that really makes it hard for people looking for guidance and wanting to share real experiences.

Paulette I am interested to follow your experiment-- hopefully the CN plan is what you need to break the pesky stalls!

So Chrissie are you going to try CN too?

HI KATHY.. I id get to the link.. and interesting enough I put in the data suggested by the ketpcal and it came up 0.98!!!! That is like not ketogentic and maybe why I was not losing before?? ALl I know is that I am eating what I shoul as I did when I can eat. Keeping mind of fats being a lot more than proteins. I am hardly eatin at this poin and dop not know why. Seem a couple of fried eggs does it for me and lots of HC in beverages. I did have a chicken leg quarter left over from last night that I finished off.. big whoppong 3 bites of meat..small bites. left over from that too.little guys got the rest.

Did not get to gym and I am just too tired to go there after class. I will not sign up for the last indoor session so can get better use of the gym.

Got a 2 hour nap in just got up at 5:30P. I could go back to sleep!
