Hi All

Lets kick off tomorrow for a week, with a little exercise, no matter what it is and eating as best as we can, anyone say I, lets set up the list, ok folks.

One week at a time and we should be able to help each and motivate each other.

I am simply giving a shout out to
our rainbow friends that are lc. Most of my
peers live some sort of alternative lifestyle.
I hope there is a comfortable, loveable space
to chat on this site.

So what exactly is the challenge - to maintain a week-long on target, to exercise and eat healthily?

I'm happy to join in whatever's going on. I don't comment in this thread as much as I'd like to; but there are times when I'm somewhere on this board and feel like I have to censor myself rather than chime in with a comment about my boyfriend.

I agree lc grrl, focus on what you want to accomplish this week, for a start and you will never know, next week could be something else.

I am day 2 on low carb, I am proud of it, even though I a down with the flu, I am hoping going to the gym tomorrow and the rest of the week, will sweat out the medication I am currently feeding on to get rid of quickly.

Hey Folks:

Just found this thread - i thought that I was seeing things because I haven't seen it before. I'll commit to the challenge - I've been exercising at least 5 - 6 days per week and have been staying relatively lo-carb. I do though, have my nightly dose of dark chocolate (there are just some things that I'm not letting go of).

so far for me this week:
monday - 50 minutes pilates
tues. - 43 minute cardio sculpt

have a great day everyone!

tracy

Hi Everyone!!
Tracy - good to see you here.
Kiszes - congrats on day 2 and hope you feel better soon!
I'm trying to come up with a list for food/exercise that we can post each Monday. If anyone has an idea let me know. I'm thinking
Name Date Exercise Food

We can put a + if we meet our own objectives and a - if not. Just a thought anyway. Not sure how that will work.
So far so good for me - exercised yesterday and will go to my weight training class tomorrow. This weekend will be the food challenge for me. As long as I just take it one day at a time it'll be fine. Denise

Lcgrrl,

Smart decision, we just need to set out the table all the participants, let us have you name and we could get it together for Monday.

Did anyone watched the biggest loser tonight, I was so upset with kai and heather ( i think they bitchy), and they surely need to drop that attitude.

I was motivated when I realise those at home lost more than those at the ranch. It really motivates me to know I can do it too.

Cool

Hi gang- Im Rusti (a girl). Love this thread. Cool.
I am responding to pilotgirl's food boredom. I was
going through the same thing what with the meat
and eggs and all. I really was afraid I couldn't eat like
that forever so I started using my french cookbook to
make interesting cream sauces ect. I have been eating
rather gourmet just smaller portions.
Cream, butter, garlic, ginger, ect ......mmmmmmm.
This is the good life.

Day 5 and I am still kicking it can you beleive it, I hope this strenght last.

I thought I would beat the flu by now, but no such luck, it seems to be getting worst, yesterday I felt worst than today as I just got moody and came home, I did stay up and watch The Biggest Loser, though I was alittle upset at last nights episode.

Anyway I got myself some home remedy put together as well as some clariflu, I woke up this morning felt better and head out to work, I took 2 clariflu this morning, and then up the strenghto go to the gym, I did 30 minutes on the threadmill and 30 minutes on the eliptical machine, (christ the eliptical machine will kill you, if you are out of shape like I am).
I was planning on going to the kick boxing class after, but My strenght fail me, so I went home. Not to worry tomorrow again I will be there for those two machines as well as my pilates class. for sure.
My monthly gym free is US$75, I need to use up everydollar of it once the gym is open, friends think I am nuts for going there as there are more affordable gym, but I love this gym, alot of entrepreneurs, lawyers, doctors and Jamaican models go to this gym, so I look forward to going, it mentally motivates me to see them, they work out hard and they dont hang around and waste time (even though some of them I dont know what they are working out or off). In the classes they keep up to the challenge of the instructor. There is just something about the atmosphere at that gym which makes me look forward to go every evening and strange when I get there I change, hit the machines then a class like everyone else, I definitely dont chit chat but just seeing them working out motivates me to work out too.
