Hey Jackie! Great to see that you're still hanging in there. You must be making amazing progress with all the exercising you have been doing!

It's pretty lonely around a lot of the threads since the nice weather has hit and people are getting out more. The summers are so short here that it's hard to stay inside when it's nice out...even if it's unbearably hot. I have been sporting a few bathing suits out in the pool lately and feeling pretty good about it. It's funny now how I look around and see so many REALLY slim (110-120lb-ers) all over the place. Just a few months ago I was green with envy over people that were the size I am now. Now I find myself looking at people 20lbs or so smaller than me and saying "man, they must have no problems finding clothes to fit." Mind you, some of these girls haven't really fully matured and their hips have not caught up with them yet. They are still eating their ice creams and pizzas and not sweating it at all. If only they knew what was ahead of them. But I suppose I would look like a crazy person if I went around preaching the benefits of LC to all the people I ever see chowing down on carby goodies. I guess I had my day and now it's their turn. Cursed metabolism...

On another topic....I have been very lazy this past weekend. I finished my 2 courses on Wednesday and have done no walking (or anything else) since. I am back on track today starting my new course. Things should get back on track for me. It's funny, but ever since I hit 145 a couple of weeks ago I almost have this little voice in the back of my head trying to sabotage my hard work. I had beer and bread and popsicles this weekend and I am terribly afraid to face the music on the scales today. I think I will be a good doobie for a couple of days and then get back on. Why do I do this to myself? This is twice now...it's the weekends that are killing me. I'm flying to Saskatchewan after this course is done to visit a friend and we're driving up to the NWT and the Yukon, and I would like to be able to fit into my clothes for the trip. I can't imagine that I'll need my bathing suit up there as they only hit around the mid-teens to sometimes the low twenties (Celcius), but the prairies can offer some major heat waves, so I'll need to stay trim for that!

Well, that's about all for now. I'll keep you all posted on my progress...I may need some virtual butt-kicking, and I know this is the best place to get it!!

Take care, and I hope you're all doing well and enjoying some sunshine!
KC
