LOL! I love it Lynne. You put your little transgressions in an itty bitty font.

Well, today I weighed 165.0. Yesterday was 165.2, day before was... I think 165.4 or was it 165.6? Anyway, its unusual for me to see such a incremental, progressive downward trend. Usually it's a big chunk all at once then a big bounce up. I like this though, just wish it was how things were normally for me!

Well, here's hoping I can finally see something other than 165 as a low tomorrow!

On the wagon again today and feeling like a 2 day drunk this morning-bloated and cranky. Oh the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune.....HA

I'll let you know how the damage control goes. Who knows, maybe I'll get motivated and take of the last five

Thinking about the fat fast. Has anyone tried it?

Slings and arrows of outrageous carbs and calories!

No, I think you can do better on a protein-fast than a fat fast. You're going to lose muscle if you're not eating protein. Maybe that is why the results are so good.

259 Post free meal I held the 50s!! I'm already noticing my fingers are less swollen then first thing this morning. Wouldn't it be cool if I could be in VT again tomorrow (total fantasy, but still).

PB - I'd say I usually get between 1000-1200 total cals a day. My protein is usually around 700-800. Total is a bit high, but I can't part with my nf 1/2 and 1/2 in my coffee. What I have done lately is greatly restrict my usage of Cool Whip Free. I was eating way more than 15 cals worth at a time. I switched from frozen berries and CWF to sugar free fudgsicle which are only 60 cals. That should hack off about 300 cals for me

Hope you're feeling better soon Pink!

Have fun with your sister Val!

I WISH I could lose a little every day Nancy. Of course I'm assuming I'd never see a bounce up that way

Were those Christmas chocolate covered cherries PG? I used to get those from a coworker every year. Super sweet and oh so good!

Well I am back to upwards bouncing, no doubt due to a few extra carbs (had small fruit and yogurt compote for dessert last night)
and water retention..I seem to be very sensitive to water regain.

My leg isn't 100% yet- was a bit ouchy again this morning but not as bad as 3 days ago. I will do an upper body workout and get in a bit of cardio on a machine in a while.

Wow! Thanks for all the support guys! I still feel very bottom heavy though! As I said, 20 more off and I will be very happy!

Pink-- I have done the fat fast a few times. Apparently it is muscle sparing because your body is using dietary fat and then stored fat. I'm not sure that it would work for you though, cuz you don't have much body fat! You could always try, and then after you lose those last pounds, you could work on building up your muscle again. Just a thought....

I felt totally starved on the fat fast...didn't work at all for me. I have to have protein for satiety effect.

I can't see how the fat fast could spare protein. You wouldn't be getting any glucose for the body processes that require it, so it'd have to be converted from protein, which since you aren't eating any, it would have to break down muscle to get.

Plus there wouldn't be any amino acids coming in from the diet to rebuild any muscle that needs to get rebuilt, so that wouldn't get done.

Imma protein gal!

Just posted by Lyle on this topic:

Everything on my veggie banquet last night, was totally Atkins friendly. It was the snickers cheesecake that snuck in there and did me in. (don't ask)

yeah cindy, the chocolate covered cherries i made for my Uncle at Thanksgiving time. He's rationing them. Had they been in my house? They wouldn't have lasted thru the evening.

Rats! Still 165.0 this morning but I think perhaps because of my intestines are not performing up to spec. It's funny, Sona seems to have a good batting average when it comes to predicting weight loss.

Well, I'm having a free meal tonight for Mom's birthday at a Thai restaurant. I'll try to be cautious with it. And I think I will have some potatoes this weekend, I've been really craving them.

Whatever the damn scale says, I don't care (well perhaps a little). I know I am losing weight.
