I remember that garlic peeler from my Kitchen Kapers days. It was all the rage back then.

I was so glad when we finally got rid of our toaster. Once a toaster has gluten crumbs inside, there's pretty much no way you can get them all out.

This salad shooter - small gadget with a funny name and many uses. Also great for grating cheese.

I am so grateful for a dishwasher! My studio is tiny, so I don't have many appliances, but I thankfully have a dishwasher! I really cannot wait to have a garbage disposal when I buy a home someday!!!!!

My other 2 favorites are:
my pasta drainer- use it constantly to defrost frozen seafood

this is silly, but my boyfriend bought me a fancy wine bottle opener, so I don't have to fuss with a corkscrew. You just press the handle down and pull it up- genius!

Couldn't live without my food processor. Nothing better to make a quick stir fry. (I'm on SBD.)

I love my food processor now. I used it today to rice cauliflower for cauliflower pizza.

i love hand blender = boil veg like broccolli, cauliflower, carrots, whatever you like... throw in some spices, butter and blend till smooth... perfect creamy soup within 10 min...

or great for morning omelletes - when i blend eggs with a bit of soda, water and cream - it bakes differently, than when i whisk it just with a fork... or maybe i just cant whisk properly

I bought one of these as a law school graduation present for an old roommate off Ebay. It worked so well that I bought one for myself too. Love it.

Well my kitchen is full of gadgets, I love gadgets (hence the nickname).

Well, if we aren't counting my heartbreakingly sharp chef's knife, or my French oven, then....hmm...I have the same Weber as Wiggums over there, love that...no...we just got a new fridge with the French doors...no...then the dishwasher died of jealousy, so we got a new one, LOVE that...my fancy English egg separator? No...the warming oven...no, its full of my extra pans right now...the wok...no, i hate the handles...my digital scale? It keeps me honest...no...

It--its like picking my favorite child! I can't do it!

heh.

My desire for gadgets is tempered by my loathing for clutter. I'd probably like having an egg separater, but an eggshell works pretty well too.

You're eating just the yolk, right?

Gadge, you crack me up. I wasn't a cook before LCing. I rarely used gadgets since most my meals consisted of rehydrating pasta and putting some sauce on it out of a jar and cooking some ground chuck to which I added garlic powder and onion powder. Gadgets were rarely neccessary. Well, gadgets are still rarely neccesary, but I won't be ricing(is that a word) cauliflower without my food processor, it takes less than 30 seconds after I cook the cauliflower.

I love my vitamix blender, food processor, deep fryer, yoghurt maker, slow cooker, ice cream maker, sausage maker....and more that I am not even thinking of at the moment. On the other hand I have a few things sitting in my closet that are never used; such as my rice cooker, electric knife set, george forman grill, espresso machine...

That's right. Occasionally Wifey makes snack bars or other treats with the whites, but mostly they go back to the chickens (cooked).

I would love to have a good deep fryer. Deep frying with regular pots is messy and awkward! Don't know where I'd put it though.

You know I've gotta say after tonight's dinner (flat irons steaks, oyster mushrooms and dandelion greens), my splatter screen is pretty darn useful.

A SET of electric knives?! Now that's--wow. Wow. Excuse me, I'm heading over to ebay...
