Actually junior's size is about 2 sizes smaller than misses. A juniors 8 would be a misses 6...sometimes even less. At least in the stores I go to, juniors clothing is fairly smaller than misses.

Just remember Jr sizes are in the ODD numbers, Misses in the evens.

I can wear a 4 in a misses, sometimes a 6 ~ in a jr's (because of narrower hips) I wear a 5 to a 7 ~ sometimes even 9's. Misses fit my body shape better.

Not being stuck just off the top end of the "normal" sizes, which is also just off the bottom end of the "big girl" sizes in the US!

On the BMI chart....... I know many of you don't agree with it, but it's a neat thing to monitor.... I am .3 away from being "normal"!

For me it was putting on my belt yesterday and I went down 2 holes! And putting on a pair of slacks for work which were not hard to button(before they were)and not looking quite as "lumpy under my shirt!

I went out yesterday without a coverup shirt on! I don't mean I was topless I mean I had a top and skirt on without any sort of jacket or overshirt or whatever to cover up the lumps and bumps.

One day I may even be brave enough to tuck a shirt in!!!

I got out my shorts from last summer and even though I weigh exactly the same (a victory in and of itself, at my age) they were looser than they were last year!

I wear lots of dresses/skirts, because I have great legs. But I don't own a single belt. I'm too round across the middle. I haven't tucked anything in my entire life, it seems. My next NSV is going to be buying a belt. I can feel it getting closer.

I tried on 6s and 8s today and they fit. I still have the really old pair of tens that only kinda fit so I know its just vanity sizing for the smaller sizes but it still made my day.

A lot of my weight this time around seemed to go on my midsection sadly enough. Even though I'm a size 16/18, my bath towels were not closing. I realized this week that I must be losing inches because they close completely now. Weird to notice I know, but I felt happy. lol
