Excellent news Nancy. Couldn't believe this thread was still going when I looked in just now!

You're completely dairy free now? How is that going for you? I cut out dairy for about 3 weeks once and it had no effect that I could notice.

Well, turns out I'm intolerant of dairy and wheat. I didn't realize how much dairy was mucking up my gut until I gave it up, same with wheat.

One adapts. I'm still eating dairy occassionally, I probably shouldn't but I do have some small amounts of cheese or a processed food that contains it.

I got back a slightly positive test for casein antibodies and with my ability to acquire new autoimmune diseases quickly, I figured it just wasn't a good idea to keep my body in that state.

I'm with you on that... I'm wheat free, (for 99% of the time) supposedly... and I ate some toast with butter on a week or two back. It did the most hideous things to my system that I've written it all down to remind me next time I feel tempted to do it.
I've adapted pretty well to the no-wheat thing, although people do still ask me what I eat! Very weird.

Have you tried rice cheese? I've heard good reports about it.

I don't think I've seen rice cheese. Strange stuff! I'll have to look for it.

Yes, well I thought it was a bit weird when I heard about it... But they make rice milk, right... so rice cheese is, I suppose the next step on from that!
I haven't tasted it but have heard good things.

Allergies can be tricky. Many years ago, I bought Estee Lauder Skin Care everything..........cleanser, toner, moisturizer, etc., about a week after I started using all the stuff, I woke up in the middle of the night I woke up itching like crazy in my joints, my elbows, knees. Then I got up, had huge welts all over me, except my face! Next day, welts all over my face.

Turns out I was allergic to something in the products, and they think it entered my bloodstream through my pierced ears when I was washing my face.

I was on Prednisone for over a week. Took all the stuff back. Allergies are hard to pinpoint, since there are so many chemicals in the products, it could have been any one or more of them.

Definetly go to the doc, get it checked out.

Don't need to. It was apparently part of my food intolerance legacy.
