Haha - Carbs, you had to take it that extra step...
Peanut Butter sounds good...yummy

I just wanted to let you all know that I almost chowed down on an Atkins S'Mores bar this morning - actually had the wrapped bar in my hand - but I came here and started reading the goals of everyone - and I powered through it. Damn - I wish I had left those things alone the entire time. (When I went to Montana last weekend - that's when I first ate anything like that - and now I mant mooooooorrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeee.) Instead, I had a slice of ham. It's weird - today feels like the first day of my diet (I'm hungry like I was when I first started) - DAMN female hormones and "times of the month"...all I want is chocolate and TONS of food.

Ok - so I'm just going to focus on today at hand - here's my goals for the day.
Stay away from the Atkins bars and candy and junk.
Drink water whenever I have a craving for something bad.
Slam back into the induction strong (ie, only meat, cheese and maybe 2 cups of lettuce with oil and balsamic vinegar today.)
Go for a walk - even if it's a short one.
Do my crunches, and arm weights.

(Today's going to be hard - it's the first time since I started the diet that I REALLY feel like it's going to be a challenge to stay on this...bah)

Today is my "moment" of weakness...haha.

Carbs......You're killing me....... LOL!!!

Soon - Good for you putting down the s'mores. I have found that the Atkins bars, as great as they are and lo carb, definitely leave me with cravings. I have about 4 left in the house and I'm not going to buy any more. I still can drink the shakes, which is very convenient at work, because they don't make me want sweets.

Todays goal Treadmill and arm weights and avoid the bowl of candy in the kitchen
Will post tonight - success or failure.

Cheers,
Gypsy

Soon, Congrats on passing up the S'mores! Yay for you!
I decided to wait until tomorrow to start Induction. My son and I have a "date" tonight, so we are going out for Chinese and then to see the movie "Radio." It isn't often that I can twist his arm.. I mean persuade him into going out with mom , so I'm jumping at the chance. We both deserve some fun after everything that's happened.
Sunday = back on board and no excuses!!!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far!

High five to Carbsbee! LOL

Hope we didn't induce any real cravings for anybody. I know it's all fun and games until somebody overdoses on Jiff.

I've been lurking for months and enjoying all the single challenges vicariously. You guys are just too funny...not sure why I haven't joined the fray.

But, after last night's rendezvous with the horrors of Hallowe'en...and I mean candy...I need some focus, so I'm coming out of the closet to join all of you. Today's my birthday so what better day to kick myself in the butt and get back on track.

Although I'm from Canada, I figure U.S. Thanksgiving is also as good an excuse as any to get my sh-- together.

Quick bio: Widowed a number of years ago...two teenage daughters...a couple of long-term relationships in the past few years that unfortunately wound up in break-ups...no current romantic interest after a break-up six months ago...but I'm looking. Been LCing (Atkins) for about a year and have lost about a hundred pounds, if you count all the yo-yoing due to cheating! But in reality, it's about 25 lbs total...leaving me at 173.5 this morning.

So...the goals:

Height: 5 feet, 5 inches
Weight: 173.5
Goal by November 27: 165
Diet: Strict LC, induction carb levels
Exercise: Minimum one 45 aerobic session daily, if not two (I choose from WAP, walking, recumbent bike or elliptical trainer)
Resistance Training: Get back at it November 3: I have a whole program awaiting my return at the local YWCA. Three times a week.

Time to get serious! Have a great Saturday night everyone...I have a volunteer gig tonight at a blues dance party here in town. I almost never drink so there's no temptation, other than attractive men, there!

Check you out tomorrow!

Hey vwgal - welcome!

So, I got to thinking. [Typically a dangerous situation.] But when is "National Jelly Lover's Month?" Well, after hours of exhaustive Googling (okay, it was really minutes), turns out there isn't one! Now, calm down everyone. Before you get too outraged, I did learn that April 2nd is "National Peanut Butter & Jelly Day!" Thank goodness...

One last little bit of evilness for eveyone: http://pbjdance.com/original.cfm

Enjoy!

just too funny just too funny!!! I came on cause I had such a craving, I was eyeing the lower carb bread, and the splenda... and the cinnamin... and the butter... but I'm at my limit for carbs for the day. So here I go on my 4th liter of water You all distracted me completely and I'm over the craving. Thanks all!!
