Flop out of its package onto a baking sheet.

Bake 22 minutes at 270 degrees (regular oven or toaster oven does here, I do this in my Breville SmartOven).

If you want aesthetics, when it comes out of the oven sear each side in a ripping hot pan for 45 seconds per side.

If after searing or you don't care what if looks like when it comes out of the oven, sprinkle generously with sea salt and dump into/onto the serving vessel of your choice. Eat. Enjoy.

I have a few questions, what's a whooshie? And from other posts it seems it might do for induction. Do you think so?

Thanks again for all the replies.

A "woosh" is when one drops two or three pounds within a twenty-four hour period. The recipe described would fit induction rules.

I didn't think of this thread last night when I opened the fridge and all I saw staring back at me was a package of mince (ground beef to you North Americans ).

It was too hot here to turn the oven on, so I just browned it with some chopped onion, stirred in lots of cumin, paprika, dried oregano, then sprinkled in plenty of cholula sauce and called it a fast version of chilli. Not a patch on the real thing, I know, but it was pretty tasty served with cheese and sour cream.

Just another idea that someone might like.

Has anyone ever just marinated a burger the way you do steak? I'd love any recipes.

I copy and pasted this recipe a long time ago but never made it, so I can't get a review.

Marinated Hamburgers
http://bbs.reimanpub.com/bulletinbo...um=68&headnum=2

3 T. Lemon Juice
1 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
1 T. soy sauce
1 T. A-1 sauce
1 T. oil
1/2 C. beef broth
1 tsp. Heinz 57 sauce
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. vinegar

1. Mix the above ingredients

2. Take 1 1/2 lbs hamburger and shape into patties.

3. Place in a covered container and pour marinade mixture over the hamburgers. Cover and refrigerate 12 hours or overnight.

4. Remove from marinade and sear over high hear to seal in the juices.

Tacos (with lettuce "shells", or a taco salad), chili (no beans), lettuce wrapped burgers....hmm. Not sure what else!

Here is one I found
http://simplyhealthyhome.com/cheeseburger-in-a-bowl/
but it uses real cheese, not processed velveeta (which has about 3 carbs per ounce).
