We're practically neighbors! I'm about 50 miles southeast of St. Louis!
Maybe your "bubble butt" is a flotation device for when you're put in that sink or swim situation your family seems to subject you to! Unfortunately, I think a lot of older people especially, think that negative comments will nudge you in the right direction. They don't understand how cutting they can be--after all, they do it out of love???? It is very difficult to ignore, you can pretend it doesn't bother you, but at the end of the day, it hurts like heck.
Best of luck to you. You won't find any name calling here. Hopefully, with the support of everyone here, you will gain some confidence--then show 'em all!

Hi Laura, you are right end the end it does really hurt. I have explained to my grandparents that if they are going to cut me down and constantly talk about my weight and what I eat then I don't want to talk to them about it. So now I try to completely avoid anything that would make that come up in a conversation but somehow they always bring it up and I end up getting mad at them lol!

Most of us have weight problems because of past hurts and the way we dwell on them. You're not alone.

Family can hurt our feelings like no one else, since we share a history, know where each other's buttons are, and feel less restraint in giving advice. Usually family members mean well, though. Your grandfather probably said what he did out of concern, since he understands the pain of being overweight & doesn't want you to suffer. He's probably a blunt person and lacks tact, but I'm guessing his bumbling words stem from compassion.

Try to let it go. Focus on what you're doing rather than the inner fears and replays of hurtful comments. We've all been there. The only power it will have over you is the power you give it, so don't sabotage yourself with a self-defeatist attitude. Thinking about weight 3/4 of the day is self-defeating, for it is in reality pure negative energy focused on thinking about yourself; just try to think about things other than yourself, to keep your mind occupied. Just do the necessary work and give your body time to make the changes you are seeking. Forgive your family & let your mind dwell on other things for a change. Give yourself a break.
