Hello all, I'm starting over as well. This will be like my 20th attempt at Atkins. Just tired of being tired! I will definitely need the support of this site!

Hi all!

I am starting over and I just completed week 3 of Atkins and I'm down 14 lbs. I would love to join you all in this journey.
When I did Atkins before, I lost 76 lbs and got down to a low of 211. Then due to many things, I blew it and ballooned back up to 256.50. For now, I have 211 as my goal on my profile, which I hope to achieve by Dec. 31, 2006. When I get there, I will truly feel I have undone the damage and can continue on my weight loss journey. I would ultimately like to get down to at least 150, but that is too far ahead for me to think about right now. I can use all the support I can get!

Good luck to everyone!!

Brenda

Well, i'm new to this thread....
But certainly not new to LC!
November 1st will be two years on Atkins for me...
I've lost a total of about 85ish pounds....recently having put back on about 10 because of my poor eating....and monday i restarted a fresh induction....which is something i haven't done in a long long time...no nuts, lc breads...you name it....
I have alot to lose...but i like to set small goals....
I'm busy with nursing school so i'm not always on daily posting but i'm always reading...and i need the encouragement and this post looked like the place to be

I just can't give up caffeine. I won't go into my passion for coffee since you are quitting. Best wishes to you with that!

Good morning!

Samantha - congrats on the huge accomplishment you have achieved so far. You can DO this!

Mull - Thanks for the welcome and congrats on kicking caffeine!

Since it seems some of us are "starting over," I think I will post the following (which I saw in Iowan's jouirnal). I also have this in my journal, on my fridge and on my cubicle at work.

"Start Over" — Author unknown

When you've worked so hard to follow a dieter's way
And you fought to win a victory each and every day,
But one more time you've gone astray –

Start over!

If you've started out in pursuit of your goal
And you've really tried with your heart and your soul,
But somehow things got out of control –

Start Over!

When you've tried your best to do what you should,
And you thought this time that you surely would,
But once again, you didn't do good –

Start Over!

When you've tried so hard to yourself be true,
And do the things that you know you should do,
But once again you failed to come through –

Start Over!

When the road to success seems much too long,
And each temptation was oh, so strong,
And once again you gave in to wrong –

Start Over!

When you've told your friends what you planned to do,
And trusted THEM to help get your through,
But soon discovered it all up to YOU –

Start Over!

When you know you must be physically fit,
But your hope seems gone you're stuck in a pit,
That's not the time for you to quit –

Start Over!

When the week seems long and successes are few,
And at weigh in time you're just feeling blue,
Remember TOMORROW is just for you! –

Start Over!

To start again means a victory's been won,
And STARTING OVER again means a race well won,
And STARTING OVER again proves it can be done,

Don't just sit there — START OVER!

It doesn't make sense that you would put back on 17 pounds overnight..maybe your scale wasn't calibrated right..i would definately reweigh in a few days.
