congratulations, Jen. I love the name River!! I bet he's cute as can be, I can't wait for pics. I'm sorry about the breathing issues. I'm thankful, though, that you were able to deliver at a level III NICU, otherwise he'd have to have been transported to a different facility. Did he have an infection?

So you're pumping the girls, huh? I'm sure River appreciates it! Hang in there, I know it's so rough having a baby in the nicu on a vent. I bet he'll be just fine. I can't wait to hear how he's progressing.

I, on the other hand, am still very, very pregnant. And I've been complaining a lot. Very uncomfortable. Not like you don't understand.

I hope you're healing well and that the pain is getting better. Take care!!!! We miss you a bunch!!

No he didn't. Just didn't want to learn how to breathe. I guess he was just more comfortable where he was.

I'm thankful for all that too. Also, all the nurses in the NICU have been AWESOME, very helpful and nice, so that helps a lot. One of them even taught me how to use the pump because I was so clueless about it.

You're almost there!!

Penni, must update about my dd and her friend, I did as you suggested we talked and considered all options, we decided we couldn’t tell the school because it would go on her permanent record and may be expelled from school in her last year (this girl is Oxford/Cambridge material, and she also applied to Harvard) my DD said telling her parents may actually lead to further problems, she’s the type to go against her parent’s advise on principal (she doesn’t have a good relationship with them, they are lovely but can be overprotective and overbearing). The only thing my DD thought we should do is be there is she asked for help.

I felt a bit uneasy for the last couple of days, cuz what if this girl gets an overdose by mistake and I didn’t tell her parents about it!! Anyway, today my DD comes back to me and tells me that her parents found out, apparently they installed one of those internet spy software that records her msn and other internet activities, and they found out she was trying out drugs… I had a big sigh of relief, now that her parents know they should be able to do whatever they think is best for their daughter, my DD’s friend doesn’t know I know and her parents don’t know I knew anything.

Thanks, Sandy!

I'm glad everything worked out with dd. That is a complicated situation and it's good her parents found out on their own accord.
