I had a 1.8 whoosh so finally got rid of those damn gains from the past couple days. Whew! My TOM seems to be winding down to nothing - I had 2 days, and now it is halting. Very strange, yet extremely welcome!!!!

I will be seeing the surgeon today at 3:15pm, so the finality of this is close at hand.

I also have an appt with my reg doc and a fasting blood test tomorrow morning so she can look at the A1c and help me with adjusted meds. So I will most likely not do a Carb Nite until Thursday at the earliest. It is imperative that I keep close control with this nite.

BARB! It is so nice to hear you again! I'm sorry the travel was terrible for you, but I sure am glad you are safe and sound. And with only a minor flux. You are lucky to have potential buyers for the house before it is even listed! I hope it sells immediately. Good luck traveling in the snow this morning - I hope it is safe for you!

CHRISSIEDOODLE - I am hoping you have a good scale reading! You are so very close to goal! And when you finally reach it, you will continue to see ups & downs daily. But such is life. Be grateful you have managed to lose all your excess weight.

KATHY - I hope all is well with you. I missed seeing your post, too!

We seem to be a dispersed group lately. It would be great to get the cohesion back. Last week was icky for the majority and I really hope this week is better. We are all past the weight loss honeymoon, and are now struggling to manage the losses we have had and accept the snail-like pace of losing the last of it. Seeing the daily flucuations is sometimes a real drag. But. like they say, you didn't gain it all in a day...As long as we continue to make the best food choices and control ourselves, we will eventually get to where we need to be.

Today we are going to roast a turkey breast! YAY! And I am going to make a little cheesecake dessert for myself! And we want to eat BEFORE my Dr. appt, so I am looking forward to a nice lunch other than a salad! I am so sick of salads, but I still try to eat them for the nutrition.

You all have a great day, and I will let you all know what the doc says today.

GOOD morning. Paulette, you are 100% correct. We NEED to be here daily and be accountable daily to ourselves and each other as well. We all have times that we wish to cover our heads with a blanket. That was not what this was about. We did go down a slipppery slope. We allow LOA for trips, vacations and emergencies. We ALWAYS weigh in when here. Sometimes a fly bye cannot be avoided that is understood.

Does anyone remember than ANNE wanted to take time off for the month or summer ..whatever?... It was loudly objected to by this team. We post and weigh daily together.

THere were other members here ..heather(?) that had a scale phobia and her not weighing in was not accepted with open arms by one member. She was right. We have our team and the guidelines had been set for 2 years. It is extremely hard to take this appproach.Harder than you think. I grow fond of team mates and am saddened when they leave for whatever reasons. A team does it all together.

CHRISSIE... I HOPE and WANT to see you remain here. YOu have done quite well. This is the easier part of the process. Remaining at goal range is really difficult. ASK me or Kathy about that. That is when we really see the benefits of being here. AND sometimes we have to see if other options are better for us.THat is why we are on the CNS experimental team. Perhaps you want to look into this change as well.

Cannot force you into anything and am not trying to. Whatever you decide, please KNOW that I support YOU and want you to have the best of everything! Writing this has not been an easy decision at all.YOu are family.

PAULETTE>>>> good luck at the physician today!!! YEA!!! and YES you HAVE to be careful with CN.. I will cut back I am sure. You are a good influence on me I have some info to post on the other thread...

BARB.. I hope you can get the place cleaned out in one more visit and get the house sold quickly. This is a good time of year.People want to move in during the nice spring weather! AND no owrry about mice curb appeal at this time of year..that can get costly! GOOD wishes sent your way!

I am still a water balloon. No sleep. Shadow has not been feeling well and MaGoo has been sitting on the lawn looking and waiting for his friend to come and play. So sad.
I am reading the CNS again.. slowly...heading for the CN blog now.

Change of food plans for me - Ed wants to make the turkey tomorrow. So I had to eat some leftovers for lunch. I will be making a chicken/spinach salad for dinner when we get home today.

Update on my surgery - she decided it is unnecessary to remove the uterus, and I will have my ovaries removed instead. She assured me the fibroids will diminish after that. She set the date for Monday the 22nd, but I have to call tomorrow and change it because Ed is having a procedure on that day. I will only be in the hospital overnight.

Now I am not hungry for a salad. I had some cottage cheese instead, and I may have a snack of cheese, if I want it, before I go to bed.

CRICKET - sorry you are all swollen. My BP was 104/64, so I am normally low, too.

For some reason I am really tired now. It is not even 5pm! I may go to bed earlier than normal.

I do hope to see the rest of our posts tonight, though. Otherwise, I will chime in on the 'morrow. Have a good night all!

I didn't weigh in yesterday...I checked my post on Sunday and my last weight was 155.5 posted at 7:31pm so I updated the chart.

It's no secret I've been struggling the last few months...going on and off plan at will. All hell broke loss with my eating this weekend and continued until this morning when I went to bed! It's done and I can't change what i've done to my body lately. All I can do is move forward. "Fat Kathy" has been running amuck the last few months but now I have thrown her back in her cage and I swallowed the key at 2am this morning along with the last bite of the kitchen sink.

Cricket when I weighed in this morning I realized i'm almost 30 pounds heavier than when I went to see you last May! This is crazy! Chris gave me a beautiful ring for Valentines day and I can't even get it on my finger. I looked into the CNS online and contemplated it for a while but I think I'm just going to go back to Atkins 40 for now. I'm comfortable and familar there and hopefully my body will forgive me and continue to adjust. I'm so sorry to hear about Lexie but I believe she is at peace now and the other babies can have peace now as well. No doubt you will flush out that sodium eventually.

Paulette I hope your appointment went well and that you were able to enjoy a nice lunch. Congratulations on the whoosh and I hope you get to stay on the slide for a few days. Good luck with the CNS as well.

Chrissie not to beat a dead horse but especially after the weekend heck the last few months I've had I would have to suggest you continue to weigh everyday. I would say to try to make peace with the scale. As long as you are on plan the numbers are just numbers but when you go off plan they are a warning...IMHO...Do you realize that as of today you are the lightest member of the A-Team??? Be proud! Fly your freak flag! Just jump on that scale everyday just like you have been doing for months...

Barb i'm so sorry your trip was yucky weather wise but i'm go glad to hear you guys are getting things in order and already have potential buyers. Just like you being in this experience with you is making me think I need to really get my affairs in order so as to make it easier for those I leave behind.

Jodi Cricket's going to be tired chasing us both down with the high carb noodle. I hope that you are back to eating right on 1 plan or the other.

Himi I hope all is well with you. I will check back later to see how you're doing.

PAULETTIE~~~ that being tired is short term effect of the plan according to CNS.. but I think that was due to being ulc for the newbies... maybe you are reacting to the stress. Get rested!'Still need to take it sooo easy after the surgery! You will be able to make hormones... big hugs for you!

KATHY... we are both big gainers, and that is what can happen..if on the plan a long time you go off too often. Sorry, but this CNS is very appealing to me since I WANT to have good high carb foods and this allows for that, and has merit in the hormones.. the way you are doing it, you are off the wall and binge. Just MY view of thngs Give the plan another look. It took me a lot of stalling and thinking before I decided to give it at least one month to see. I go to a closed forum and the results are insane. It may take a little practice to get the companion foods down, but I know in my heart it is good.

Have the pool in the morning and running to the new attorney. I miss my retired one ( her BIL)! Going to stop off at the store and return one powder and get another...GOING to order some frm Pauette's link but I need to get some now... maybe I will just keep this one! OY.. going in circles.

I want to thank you all for your comforting statements about Lexus. The stress level here wsas reduced 98%! It is so nice to see all the dogs now running around safely.And not to sorry about strangers with a dog that ran hot and cold. So, it is for the best. It was no happy life for Lexie and a life not pleasant is not worth living.

Question hmmmm.....

i am perplexed.....
i never said i wanted to quit the team. i said i would still post daily.
i never asked to take the summer off, and i am not anne.
it seems to me that it is being assumed i have some other agenda as to why i do not want to weigh-in daily
i think i am doing GREAT on this plan, and i don't understand why it is being implied otherwise.

it sounds like i am being given the ultimatum of weigh in daily or leave the team

CHRISSIE... no, we know you did not want to quit, and yes, you have done great. NO ONE ever assumed or even gave it a thought that you might have another agenda.. what would that even be??? There is no ultimatum. the goals of this team were always to weigh and post daily. that has not changed.
We try to work with members in their plans and the common thread is always post and weigh in. ALL we are saying is that we all find it better to do that and that is one reason why we stay together. Other places do not care when a person weighs in or not. This is accountability and facing the way we deal with these issues. Others have left due to the daily weigh ins. Not an ultimatum.. just the way it has always been and those rules had been posted many times during your very supportive and wanted interrractions while here. Nothing has changed. We want you to stay and to also continue on this path. Even though in the CNS they do not weigh in daily at all, we are doing that to continue our control over ourselves and to be part of this team. I am sorry if you see this differently. NO ONE here wants to see you leave. Give it some thought.

BARB... YEA You are dropping that fast.. you will break that old mold and get to your goals!!! THis weekend is going to be warm and nice here so I hope it is going to give your travels a decent trip. With the spring and new grads coming soon, are you hit with more work and hires?? UGH... Be well and take care!
