Everyone likes quick success, but those of us that have truly made this a way of life realize that induction levels cannot last forever. (Unless that is what our body demands.) I have accepted the fact that we are all different. We are not all cut from the same cookie cutter. While basic rules do apply to us all, we have to customize the rest to suite our lives and our bodies. If that means upping your carbs a bit to reach a level that you are happy with your menu and still reaping the benefits...then so be it.

There are some die hard people out here that will tell you if you want to succeed then you have to do things "by the book" and never step off the narrow path. There are also some of us that believe there has to be a balance in life...and that occassionally life happens. Live Simply pointed me to a thread called the Healthy, Happy Rebels. It is for those of us that feel that modifications are not evil, and that if you have a peach you aren't going to die. hehe. I encourage anyone that feels the same to join the thread. It is very supportive and encouraging.

Note: Keep in mind that I am not encouraging de-railing from your current plan. This is not permission to "cheat." It is only acknowledgement that SMALL modifications can be made that still ultimately lead to success. It is also an acknowledgement that we are human, and we make mistakes. If you have a bad day and eat something you shouldn't...it is a place to be encouraged and supported to get back on track. Feel free to join us.

Healthy, Happy Rebels
