January 1st, at 3:00pm EST. Right after the show "Keeping it Off" that sums up the past few years.

Yeah, the wierd sense of humor is abundant with my brother and I. I really hope you guys don't get offended, but we are the source of humor on the show.

I've written myself a note to make sure I don't miss it.

I read about the "wise cracking brothers" on the website.....you gotta have humor to lighten things up, so good on you!

Looking forward to watching!

I've seen you on these boards for a few years now, you have done awesome, but can you please clarify something for me
If I recall you lost over `100 #'s, in 2002/3, did you regain it?

Cheers Kathy

Here's the official song and dance.

I started at 315. Got myself down to around 205 or so. I got very comfortible, met a girl, etc etc. I got a candida problem and started gaining it back. I got back to my old routine of eating chips for supper and 2 litres of pop a day.

Before I knew it, I put 70 pounds back on over the course of 2 years.

My brother and I realized that we needed to lose it, so we decided to start back on the plan. Then this TV show audition came along. We gave up the diet till we started airing the show, and it took us no time to get up to 300 without trying.

So, my niche on the show is that I am doing the weightloss a second time, but trying to figure out how to keep it off. I think it's the hardest part of weightloss. We all know the secret to losing weight, (Us low carbers). Now we need to know how to keep it off.

For some reason, I was under the impression this was a diet the first go. Now I know, it's a lifestyle change. I'm done the show now, and I am still on track this time.

Thanks for filling me in

Yes there is no question........ go back to your old way of eating and you will one day wake up "right back to where you started".
There is not a diet or eating plan in this world that will take it all off and keep it off......... If you fall back into your old habits! Sad lesseon learned, eh. But it sounds like you have the right Idea now.
Good luck
Kathy

I saw the show. Very interesting. There are quite a lot of *characters* on it.

I loved the comment your brother made to you about getting the money from your dad. LOL!!

I have a question about the show. Where the cameras with you 24/7 for the 6 months or were there certain days they were with you to give you a bit of a break off and on for privacy?

I was just wondering about that.

Hey Bruce...

Loved the show.....you guys are funny! Even behind the laughter we got insight to the feelings both you and your brother have about your journey.

Looking forward to watching more!

They would ask us each week what events they could join us with. It was fairly accomdating. We had a lot of fun shooting it.

Actually, I forgot to mention one thing.

You'll notice at the end they showed me eating chips. They actually made me eat chips for the show. They wanted me to show a "normal meal". I ate it only for that episode. I was pretty mad because that was day 4 of induction. I was JUST passed the sugar cravings... hehe.

We get in depth with the diet, but I am not sure if the editors will get it. They didn't have a clue what we were doing.

Glad you enjoyed it
Bruce

What a great show! I've watched the previous ones so it was fun to watch the Keeping It Off? (altho discouraging in some respects).

I worked graveyard shift the night before (NYE into NYD) and purposely stayed up to watch you, Bruce. I'm frickin' tired tonight and it's all your fault J/K

I thought you and your brother were hilarious. I also think that the competition between the two of you would be helpful. It's funny because we're watching this now when it's already happened so you know what's happening and it's all new for us. Were you allowed to see the completed series or is this the first time you're going to hear what others said about you, etc. I thought that girl at the end was pretty catty and negative ("the whole brother thing is wearing thin" kinda thing).

Loved the comment about the bacon glistening with butter

Looking forward to watching you and all the other participants.

This is all the first time we've seen the shows. Well, Byron and I have seen the first show, but that's it.

It's funny, not 3 minutes after the show aired, Trina emailed us to appologize.

The crap is going to fly soon.

LOL!! Yes.....I was not too impressed with what came out of Trina's mouth
myself. She seems like a bitter person underneath it all.

I just contacted the production company for the show to see if they had any contact info they could give me so I could write Malcolm (from Season 2) a letter. He seems to be struggling with losing his weight like I am and as a single mom I can relate to him very well. I would love to have the chance to talk to him even if it is just in a letter or an email so I can let him know he has my support and best wishes.
