I don' think anyone's answered this yet. Is anyone one willing to put up with lackluster workouts for 12-20 weeks to see if this works? Has anyone gone 12-20 weeks on 25% carbs or less to see what happens?
The test was on mice, but mice don't get invited to weddings or birthday parties, if you 'carb up' do you have to start again at square one or will a CKD/TKD for 12-20 weeks allow your body to make significant amounts of fat burning enzymes?
And why will you get bigger muscles if you're fat burning as opposed to carb burning? I sure would like to see more studies on this. And is there anything we can do to encourage our bodies to become fat burners, like take l-carnitine?
This is so intriguing. I will definitely try to keep my carbs at 25% or less, which isn't a stretch for me.
I'm one who went paleo earlier in the year. After 5 weeks my muscles were flat, as expected bcs of the glycogen depletion. I didn't like it. Now I'm back to +/- 150 gms carbs a day and am very happy with the results.
