Go you! Supportive noises! I wonder if following the Mathews Method over Callanetics would mean I wasn't blinded by neon leotards every other day.......

The picture is a yoga posture and I did nothing today after my scare at midday (see my journal). I was too shook up then hormones kicked in to do me in. Hoping for a new day tomorrow. On the upside I've had no sholder pain today to speak of.

30 min cardio on the road. Walked a new route. Rans 3 seperate times. After coming in I sat with a map and a string to measure it out. It may be 2 miles. I'll go out later with the car and see. Drug out my binder of exercise plans and will put together a toning routine with a little resistance and start alternating it with the walks. I'll post what I firgure out when I do.

Sadly I must say yesterday's 30 min was only 1.8 miles. I must have walked slower after my running spirts. I mapped out a real 2 mile route and will drive it again to confirm the distance. I will walk it only once to get a time and then do interval another to compair the two. Going to try to get the toning movements in today. Had to drive DS GF to the beachhouse this AM as she worked late and slept on our couch last night. Killed the whole morning. It's 48.5 miles round trip and I never left our city limits. I told you it was big .

Never got to the toning. Does packing 5 cases of telecom equipment in the afternoon sun outside then moving each 40lb box twice count as weight training?

Progress for 1 week: My calves are 1/2" smaller. What's up with that? No other change in weight or measurements, just cardiovascularly I feel stronger and have more stamina. Today: 45 minutes on the yoga mat, deep stretch and ab work, ending with the tree for 12 breathes for each branch Anyone with questions on specific postures feel free to ask, as of now I have no set routine, I just let my body tell me what it wants.

The first is tree pose except I had my hands in prayer, silent hoping I would not fall over...and yes my leg was tucked that high. Next is seated forward bend, one of my fav deep stretches and I stuck with it long enough to get my face back on my knees. The last one is for Mischa, should she be lurking , but i've done it in the past and will again soon.

Saturday: exercise the old fashioned way. Up and down the stairs (running each time) a billion times doing chores, trimming and raking the yard and an hour scrubbing out the pool. Boy my obliques and shoulders are killing me today!!

Sunday: finished trimming the yard then a swim for 1/2 an hour. figured out the pool is 33', did 12 laps varying strokes. Really seeing shoulder definition now.
Monday: took a wrong turn and ended up 1.5 miles. 19 minutes then 10 mins ab work on the floor.

2 mile power walk/jog 25 min. !!! I just looked at a running forum and the best times I'm seeing are 15 min. 5Ks! Whoa!! I'm gonna map out a 5K track in my neighborhood as a goal to work toward.

Swim in. 40 minutes. Lapped total the equivalent of nearly 3/5 mile, near as I can figure. Not CONTINUOUSLY! but 462 feet of it was. I'm getting there.
