Talking Hey look what i cna do again

The only way to say what I am happy about is to show it.

That is me, I stood up, lifted my leg and took my shoe off all in balance and was able to do that.

I realized last night, as I took off my socks. I could finally stand up pull up my leg and take off my socks. No longer needing to sit down on the bed and grapple with pulling my leg up and the resistance from my oversized belly.

It is the small things that you don't really realize impact your daily life and perception and how you as a person can function in realty..

And this small thing makes a huge impact in my life, brining confidence and balance back into my body!

You should update your profile pic. You look like an entirely different person.

I'm grateful that I just feel so much better! I'm also grateful for this thread. Just started reading it and love everything about it!

I have very few clothes that fit, wearing same things and washing a lot, buying pre owned clothes on eBay.

I will be 60 in June and the other day in walgreens parking lot got honked and whistled at by two guys in a car, they couldn't have been in their thirties yet. Very funny. I'm thinking I could be their grandmother!

getting wonderful support from my fellow weightloss travelers...

Based on another thread... i actually started digging through my clothes again.

tried on what few shirts that didn't fit. Finding they do fit now. Last round of tshirts.

Finding old shirts I was waiting to were are now way too big.

I love that feeling of awh you get when you put a piece of clothing on and it is just hanging off you.

And you are like holy cow wow, I lost that much. I wore that over 15 years ago. Wow... And if gives you pause to reflect on what am overall accomplishment that has transpired up until now.

And it brings such happiness to your heart that you are able to represent who you are not just emotionally or mentally. But physically as well.

To have all those human traits line up together, to finally start flowing together...

Like being happy and having the ability to dance around the house.

Or being playful with the dogs and running down the steps with them.

Or being productive with no worries about going up and down steps as you clean the house.

Just being able to feel alive and free from the weight that was dogging me for all these years!

Okay, I wonder how many of you tis crossed your minds?

I love the fact that i now know if anything happened in my house I could escape through a window. Or if I was ever needed to be able to be carried on a stretcher that I would fit and my weight they could deal with.

Or if my car ever plunged into a lake I could kick out of the window and fit through it!

I know envisioning the worse. But I would think abut that sometimes when I was morbidly obese.

Now I don't have those worries anymore!

Like when I get into one of those small back seats, the ones where I can just barely squeeze in? The door opening is so small that I have to use my hands to lift my legs inside. Then I lean in while I repeatedly slam the door until it latches. That's about when my claustrophobia kicks in, right about the time I realize I can barely breath and can't move my legs at all. Then I spend most of the car trip wondering if I'll be able to get out again, or if they'll have to call the fire department and use the jaws of life to get me back out. Something tells me losing weight is not gonna fix all my problems.

That's funny because it happened to me! Not long ago I had to take an ambulance ride to ER. As the EMTs were carrying me out of the house on a stretcher I was thinking, Thank goodness I've lost some weight!

The last time I was carried on a stretcher was several years back and my weight was upwards of 200.

Hey Madlock, yeah those tiny cars like the honda fit and stuff cna be quite scrunching no matter the size. Anyone over a certain height will definitely feel clasterphobic.

I love the fact that I wore a skirt that was just above the knee to work today. And I have no trouble making sure my legs are closed.

Like it is not a work out to keep them closed

YAY! Funny, though - I'm almost exactly the same weight and still shopping plus size. Guess we must be very different "shapes" !

Congratulations! I am not there yet, but I did just order size 18 jeans, and trust me, that is a triumph for me!
