Question pumpkin soup??

Good Morning!

I was wondering if anyone could please either give me or tell me the link to find the recipe for pumpkin soup. I saw it here a few days ago, and now I can't find it. I am thinking chicken broth, canned pumpkin, and heavy cream and butter.

Thanks!!

There is an EXCELLENT recipe for sausage/pumpkin soup. It is incredible! It is in the recipe forum.....but I don't know the name of the thread. It may have been something like "pumpkin recipes". I made the soup twice and am also making it to take for family Thanksgiving.

Sounds delish..... . I would love to try that myself for Thanksgiving as a pre-Thanksgiving dinner appetizer. My b/f loves a bowl of soup before his meal and he's a Type 1 diabetic.

I can vouch for this one as I made it just today. Holy cow, this is GOOD. Only thing different is I doubled the amount of sausage. Man, this is just so good.

Me too on the Pumpkin Sausage Soup!!

It is da bomb!!
I use Jimmy Dean's regular breakfast sausage and I add...
1 T. oregano, 1 t. basil and 1 t. marjarom

So good, so good.

I read that recipe for a while at low carb friends before I ever tried it, thinking it is so strange.
But, my DH and I were both pleasantly surprised!

Enjoy!

At the top of each forum in the kitchen section there's an index to all the recipes. So go into the soup one and you'll find this: http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=214626

There's a bunch of pumpkin soup recipes!

Nancy means the Soups section within Recipes forum....like so:
Kitchen:Low-Carb Recipes > Soups, Sauces & Appetizers
and that each section, like the Soups section, has an index/contents thread with links...super helpful and easier than searching.

, Nancy!

I was going to make the sausage and pumpkin soup last night but after I started browning the sausage realized I accidentally bought pumpkin pie mix instead of pumpkin! I threw in some cheddar cheese instead and it still tasted good. I will certainly try the real thing soon.

Y'know, I bet it would have tasted okay! I can see the standard pumpkin pie spices going well with a salty, spicy meat like sausage.

Well, I wouldn't use the pumpkin pie mix, it's probably got a lot of sugar in it doesn't it?
