Hi. I am still in induction (week 5 now), so I can't give you a sense of how much I lost when I entered OWL. So far I have lost 6.5 pounds and my fiancee has lost 13 pounds. I am guessing that we will stay on Induction for at least another couple months--I'd like to lose at least half of my weight before moving on to OWL. I'm sure everyone has made the move from induction to OWL at different points in their weight loss for different reasons.

I was on day 13 of induction and had lost 9.5 lbs but fell off the wagon at last night's turkey dinner! Back on the program today! Plan to stay on induction until I make my first goal of 25 lbs down! Good Luck!

I lost 30 lbs in six weeks of induction.
I started at the end of Auguist.
I fell off the plan this weekend for Thanksgiving but tomorrow I am back on track.
I am thinking about not staying on induction too much longer and starting to add in stuff for OWL. I don't want to kill my metabolism by doing this for too long and have decided I am comortable with slower loss from now on.

Stay strong. It is so worth it!

I have been feeling this way too lately. At first I wanted to stay on induction indefinately since the losses were so great, but is that wise? Like you, I am going to begin OWL soon. How long does Dr. A suggest staying on induction? (I'd look it up, but I lent my book out). I think I failed many times in the past because I stayed on induction too long, and never proceeded though the remaining 3 stages.

My first week of induction I believe I lost 6 pounds, then "stalled" a couple weeks then began losing a steady 2 pounds per week. I've been doing induction for about 3 months. However, this past month has been a pretty sloppy induction - been trying a lot of new recipes which may or may not be induction friendly. Good luck everyone.
