Smile Your cholesterol numbers

Great HDL,TG and glucose.Good TC/HDL ratio.
High LDL.LDL is high for a lot of LC'ers. In a lot
of cases,LDL tests show the lDL to be the good
fluffy type.
Total cholesterol would be lower if your great
HDL was lousy.
Overall, looks pretty darned good to me.

Oh thanks people...I am starting to breath a sigh of relief!

Do either of you know what makes good cholesterol, (foods?), and what makes LDL? Does diet have anything to do with it? I fasted for 17 hours before the test it turns out. I finished supper at 6PM and didn't eat the following AM since I had the Dr. appointment at 10AM, so it was 11AM when I actually got the blood test. Does that actually even matter? Just wondering what influences all of this, or since I fasted so long does your body just make all what the blood test shows on it's own without the influence of food? Sorry guess I am rambling..lol.

Omega-3's are associated with producing HDL.

You should fast 12 hours before blood test.
If you don't fast long enough, your triglyceride
reading won't be accurate.
Diet influences your cholesterol but it's a little
different for everyone.Your body also produces
cholesterol to fix problems like damaged arteries.
