Steph-

you might want to think about posting this in the general low carb forum or the general health forum to get the maximum amount of exposure.

I totally understand! This forum isn't very busy though and I didn't want you to feel ignored.

Default Hi

Hi Stephanie,

I also had a pituitary tumor. However mine was an ACTH/GROWTH HORMONE TUMOR. It was 3mm and I had it removed this past March.

It failed to cure my cushings-disease so I am having a Bilateral Adrenalectomy in the next week. I will have addison's disease for life but I will not die from the Cushing's!

You should really get signed up at the Pituitary Tumor Network Association they have a very helpful bulletin board for us pit patients!.

I also have problems with my thyroid. I still lowcarb but I have to be careful not to go below 50-70 grams of carbs daily or it messes with my electrolyte balance!

Like you many pituitary patients have a very difficult time with weight. If you want to talk just email me! pcsolutions.mia.net

Jeanne
