Talking Do any of you

Do any of you, like me, always try to predict what your bg reading is going to be before you take it?

Yes. We do that with my DD. We don't get it right most of the time, but she can tell you when she is low. She is 10 years old and has type 1. Just got on the insulin pump yesterday!!!

Oh, and it is a family thing. All of us (I have 4 kids and a husband) will shout out numbers before she does her bedtime blood sugar and who ever is closest "wins". Wins nothing, but a close guess is a great thing LOL. We try to bring some fun into her boring necessary stuff.

yes, and I'm always close....

and I can also do two other things:

1) I can cut a deck a cards in half and never miss it by more than 2 cards...
2) I can wake up with 2 or 3 minutes before the alarm clock goes off in the morning, even when changing the wake up time to different times.

With practice, we can do many things, even control our BG numbers...

#2 is most impressive to me, unless you are waking up multiple times and going back to sleep if it's not time to wake up yet

actually, I started training myself to wake up at a set time by telling myself at bed time at what time I wanted to wake up. It doesn't always work, but 95% of the time, it does... Also, if I do wake up in the middle of the night, I pretty much can pedict what time it is, within minutes of the actual time. Not sure how I can do that, but I do. I'm not considered a light sleeper and I can fall asleep very quickly when I do go to bed..... I do get up usually once each night on average to go to the bathroom...
