Default Girls and boys, I'm giving up for a while :(

...but not forever.

I am so sick of feeling morning sickness, or rather all-day sickness, and not being able to do anything at all about it. I don't know exactly what's going to happen to my weight but I do know I need my carbs sprinkled more throughout my day rather than all in one punch for now. I am just so so so tired of feeling sick. I am desperate to do something about this.

I just don't know what else to do. I really have to fiddle with my diet to see if it will help. I can't function this way anymore. My CM meals are delicious but they only seem to help the sickness for a few minutes, and after that they seem to make it worse. My stomach feels heavy and crampy and overly full even if the meal is just salad and a piece of cheese.

Can I still come on here and chat? This is only because I'm pregnant. I will be right back on CAD the minute I'm able.

Of course you can come whenever you want. I also think it is really great that you want to control your pregnancy weight gain and insulin and all that. There is a (IMHO) good LC program that allows carbs all through the day, always with protein. It is very different from CA plans but also good- it's Protein Power. They have a thread here too.

Congratulations on your pregnancy! Always eat protein with your whole grain carbs. I followed that simple rule thru my last pregnancy and did very well. I did noticed that I gained 2lbs. every time I ate sugar. So stay away from that!

Good luck! :-)

Hey Mel- I hope you will stick around. You stuck to plan alot longer then I would if I was pg. Kudos to you! Just remember if your feeling out of control you can always go back to CAD. I would think a balanced approach to meals would be best. During my last two pgncies I tried to make sure I had adquate protein with my carbs, and the weight gain was minimal. You will do fine

Mel,

You knucklehead, you better stay!

What would it be like here without you?

I thought of the same thing Eno did when I first saw your post. Protein power encourages you to spread your carbs throughout the day, and even if you didn't stick to their carb limit, it might provide some stability.
