Default What did you NOT eat today?

i'm a little tired of just recording what i ate....getting boring. so, i thought i'd celebrate what i DIDN'T eat but so desperately wanted to today. if anyone else wants to share their mighty feats of self discipline, please share your 'almost' meals today.

here goes...

breakfast: home fries and french toast

lunch: clam chowder and grilled cheese and french fries

snack: oreo cookie shake from jack in the box

dinner: pepperoni pizza from pizza hut (pan fried)

now i will take a deep breath and thank myself for NOT putting that junk into my body...

I am happy to report that I did NOT eat the mini kit-kat bar that a co-worker so generously handed me, and that I very discreetly deposited into the bottom of the nearest garbage can!

sauasage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich from starbucks where i had to stand for 8 hrs preparing for customers who were eating them. toasted cinnamon scone that my coworkers were sampling and shoving in their mouths. warm apple fritters - again coworkers shove in faces. somtimes its really hard to not eat the food and drink the 400 calorie drinks at work. but i'm proud of myself. i drink tea and water, and its satisfying =D

Yeah for you jaeynaSIX, I would imagine Starbucks would be a very hard place for a low carber to be working.

I have not eaten the cookies that are in my house for my son. I have not touched the bread in my refridg. I have not looked at the sugar free bars I have.

Fun thread! I resisted all of these temptations that were laid before me today :

- toast kids ate this morning, but didn't finish
- caramel corn at the office
- french silk pie at the office
- chocolate bar offered to me
- candy 'dots' kids snacking on

I have a cabinet that I swear I need to take a picture of! My husband is a candy-a-holic. I have to hand it to him, he does eat it slowly, but he has a cabinet (course the kids don't know what is in there, LOL) that has milk duds, m&m's, jelly beans, sweet tarts and sour gummy worms in it...not to mention there is a random bag of marshmallows in there?! WTH?! Oh yeah, and he weighs only 15 lbs more than me and hardly any fat on him (he's same height as me). Crazy. Everytime I happen to open that cabinet, I give myself a HUGE pat on the bag that I avoid it. The difference is, if I nibbled on that, I'd end up eating like half a box of milk duds and a ton of m&m's and a little bit of the rest. I'm a total carbaholic - I just can't have a little...I absolutely binge....SOOOO...I stay away from it. Thirty one days of no sugar and no simple carbs...YAHOOOOO.

Thank you hulagrrl! I just decided this time next week the weight loss would be more important and attractive on me than the cake. lol Plus I don't think it would be a one piece thing since it's only my husband and me here. He is on LC too so we stayed strong together.

Happy Birthday, Cissie! Yesterday was my birthday, and my DH made me a "cake" out of sf Jello cups and sf whipped cream and even put a candle in it. I'm very proud of you for not giving in to the normal "treat myself on my birthday" attitude!!!

Happy Birthday, Cissie and Barbara!!! And congratulations Barbara on having such a sweet and considerate husband!!

******************************************

I didn't have the Payday candy bar given me at the Worship committee meeting today and I walked right by the sf peppermint patties on my way to the Fritos that I bought for my DH (which I didn't eat either ).

Love this thread!! What a great way to realize we did something good for ourselves today!
