Default not enough carbs

Help!! I have just decided to end induction after about 3 weeks because my weight is at a stand still so i figured i should probably add more carbs.

here is my problem... when i was doing induction, my carb percentage was usually around 4% and the carb level hardly reached 15 (of course minus the fiber) so atkins tells me to add carbs in increments of 5 so i add almonds and still my carb level is at 4%. what do i do?

i did exactly what he said to do during induction and my carbs were no where near 20:
egg/quiche/omelette for breakfast
large salad with protein for lunch
protein with green vegi for dinner
snack of string cheese and protein

How about adding some berries or more veggies or choosing some veggies that are slightly higher in carbs per serving?

I've had days when I had to work up some carbs.........I usually add more good veggies to my salad i.e. celery, carrots, cucumbers, green pepper. I also add grated cheese to my cooked veggies along with a little heavy cream - makes a yummy cheese covered vegetable. Why don't you try planning a meal on Fitday and see what you have to add to come up with enough carbs.

I agree with the other posts, try adding more veggies. I managed to be able to get atleast 20 grams (minus fiber) with no problem as I do love my veggies.

thanks for the advice but..... atkins tells us that we should only add carbs at 5 gram increments and i figured because i added the almonds, i couldn't add anything more.

i guess i will go ahead and add some more vegis. i am sure vegis can't hurt as long as they are low carb. also, i do use fitday on a daily basis. sometimes there seems to be a little discrepancy in frozen vegis from what the bag says and what fitday says.

thanks everyone!!
