Default Small successes

I’ve been LCing since the beginning of Dec08. At first the weight came off fairly quickly and I lost 9 lbs in the month of Dec. But then it slowed to a crawl. That’s ok because I know that this is a lifestyle change and weather I lose or not I’ll still eat low carb. So I’ve been maintaining around 152 for the past month (up-down-up-down) until this week when my body decided to lose 2 lbs and I finally made it to 150.0 without changing my eating.

So last night I’m looking for something to wear to work and decided to try on a pair of pants that were too tight a month ago to see what progress I had made thinking that they would still fit snug since I had only lost 2 lbs. To my shock they went on and were loose!! Size 10! I thought I had pulled out the wrong pair of pants and had to check…again Shocked! I don’t remember these being this loose when I weighed 150 over 2 years ago. Needless to say I proudly wore them to work today! One of my co-workers complimented me on my “small waist”…Who? Me? I can’t wait to get home and go through my closet to see what else fits!

Also I noticed today that I am over half way to my final goal!

Have a great weekend and a wonderful Mother’s Day to all the mothers!

Congratulations to you! It feels so good to realize that you're losing inches, even when the scale doesn't cooperate!

And there is something to be said about this WOE, because even though I am in the low 180's, I'm wearing 12's... and I distinctly remember wearing 12's long long ago... and I swear I was in the 160's or so... now I'm truly curious to see what size I'll be wearing when I hit the 160's this time!

Hope you found more fun things in your closet to wear!!!

Thanks Bru88 and Pammieanne!

I'm realizing that it is so important to recognize all of the small successes that happen on this journey. It is too easy for me to feel down on myself because I'm not at my goal weight yet.

I mean just the fact that my ankles don't hurt going down the stairs in the morning is a miracle to me!

Thanks!

Someone suggested that it was the increased protein intake that helps keep muscle while losing weight and so that could be the reason for the samller size at the same weight. I'll take it!
