Default Sourcing wild meats in Toronto/GTA

Any Torontonians (or close-by) out there who have found good sources for grass-fed beef? Pastured poultry and pork? How about game meats like elk, deer, bison, pheasant etc? I'm hunting for hormone/antibiotic-free pastured meats that are reasonably priced, and prefer to buy from the farmer if at all possible.

Maybe us city folk could start a meat share Hey, they do it with veggies all the time...why not meats?

You might try Kensington Market. Other than that I think you have to go out of town to "farm country" - do a search, you may be able to order.

I found Beretta Farms - beef (organic and grass-fed), pork and poultry, all pastured. Got my order in! Now to find some bison, elk etc. I know St. Lawrence Mkt has vendors...

Wish this stuff was cheaper (or I was richer)

Go to St Lawrence Market on Saturdays.

The Farmers Market runs in the building across the street to the North, there's a guy who specializes in game/wild meats

There's also a butcher shop in St Lawrence Market itself which also specializes in game/wild meats. I thnk the one in the Farmer's market is a better price though.
