Default Neris and India's Book

Last weekend I read a really fun book about LOW CARBING. The book is called "NERIS AND INDIA'S IDIOT PROOF DIET". I got the biggest kick out of those two women and hearing about their low carb adventures. They also have a cookbook out, and I have that on order.

If you are like me, you like to get all the information, suggestions, and ideas you can to make this way of eating more "entertaining"...so to speak.

These gals basically don't count/keep track of anything....carbs of course, but that's it! They stress the importance of full fat products along with the high protein/low carb way of life. The ONLY thing they do that I CAN'T....or DON'T.... is to eliminate ALL diet sodas!!! EEEEWWW....that is an avenue I could not go down! I gotta have my diet pepsi. I make sure I have my daily water intake in, but must have the diet pepsi, too!

I highly suggest this book for educational purposes, as well as entertainment. It's a very fast, fun read.

I had to share!!

Cathy

THat sounds like an outstanding book. I have eliminated all sodas but, I was never really a soda fan anyway. I also do not count anything. I just eat food that I know to be low carb.

I also just finished reading IPD and loved it!!! They are speaking my language and have come from where I am. The only thing I have trouble giving up is coffee. I drink about 2-3 cups each morning and decaf at night. What will I put my cream in? LOL! No problem giving up diet drinks, because I limit how many I drink. But giving up caffeine is another story. Last night was a fried (unbreaded) pork chop and broccoli with butter, yum! Before bed I had 22 almonds (but 2 went to the dogs, they beg so intently). I was not hungry when I went to bed and was not hungry when I got up. Had my water, coffee, supplements, scrambled eggs and bacon. Heaven.

I bought the book Jan 07 and previously had never even thought about dieting. After reading though I was hooked.I have lost at least 40 kilos(I have stopped weighing myself as I was getting a little obsessive).Anyway I couldnt recommend it enough. My life has changed completely and to be honest it is all down to those ladies.Obviously joining these forums has helped too but it was the book that put the low carb/no sugar idea in my head.

I loved the book, I do Atkins, and his books are way more detailed, but this book is a lot of fun.

Well today I shelled out the cash for this book out of unbudgeted funds and I can I say.... OMG it's worth every penny! I read half of it as soon as I got it and can't wait to finish reading it tonight. So far it made me laugh, it made me cry, and it made me shout THIS IS ME!!!

I can't wait to check out their web site.

The Idiot Proof Diet is the eating plan I'm following and have been since June of last year. Chose it because a friend had lost loads of weight on it. Never done low carb before - so it was quite a change to my eating habits! It's basically Atkins for chicks, and without the counting - and dealing with 'head stuff' issues on food!
